We are hoping to put together a trip for my milestone birthday and the RunDisney Wine and Dine weekend in November and I have some questions to see if the after party would be a good fit for my daughter and I. I have been trying to read past reports but so much has changed from 2019 to 2021. I did see that in 2019 character lines were over 2 hours but didn't see much mentioned on ride wait times. Can anyone purchase tickets or do you have to be a part of the RunDisney event? If anyone can give me any advice or steer in me in the direction of a thread that would be help, it would be much appreciated!! TIA!
Anyone can purchase a ticket.
Entry to Epcot is much earlier than the party official start time (this year it was 5:00)
Character lines in the past were long siince they have lots that are not typically seen in the park. Characters are set up in designated spots but there are only like 5 or 6 spots.
Not all rides are open. This past year, only TT, Soarin, Frozen, and Remy were open I believe.
Because all of the day guests are still in the park until after Harmonious, the lines are pretty long. Once the offical party starts, only guests with the ticket wristband can get into lines. Still, they are pretty long for hte first hour or so. After about 11 - lines are pretty non existent for rides, but character lines may still be long (a few years ago, the line for 3 Caballeros never slowed down and was cut off at midnight).
A vast majority of people congregate around the food and wine booths eating and drinking but you can get things done if you are willing to wait in some lines early, or just wait until later in the party.
