Ride Efficiency?

I just got back from a short weekend trip to the happiest place on earth. I was amazed on how efficient they were at attractions and restaurants on serving and loading. Especially on the rides. It was like watching a well oiled machine run. The waits were always lower then posted and it just looked like they had their ducks in a row!

Has anyone else noticed this or maybe I was just there on a slow day.

You get a good team that works well together, and they can really crank the guests through. They get certificates if they are able to beat the quota for a certain time period. I have a collection of Disney ephemera and I have a few of these.

Yes, without a doubt. I'm amazed at how efficient WDW is with moving the lines, given the number of people that go to the parks. That's one of the reasons I just have a hard time complaining about wait times. Sure, I don't like them, but with the volume of people, I think they do an incredible job.

We're AP holders at Six Flags over GA also. I think it puts everything in perspective. It sometimes takes 20-30 minutes just to get through the front gate security line there, then the rides take an eternity...and their guest volume is probably 1/20th of what MK has. They're horrid.

They are always very good at Disney. I personally have a lot of respect for the "Grouper" role because keeping track of that many guests and the line numbers and such requires a lot of concentration. They do an amazing job!

We went to Sesame Place in PA a few days after returning from Disney. This is a park where the inefficiencies are always maddening where, generally, one person runs the entire ride. Normally we just grin and bear it because the kid has so much fun anyway. My wife and I were getting visibly angry and frustrated at Sesame on this visit and ended up leaving much quicker than usual. I don't think you really appreciate how Disney runs until you really compare it to somewhere else.

This is the one thing Disney does better than anyone. Go to a "local" amusement park like six flags or smaller and you notice the loading and unloading times will take triple the time Disney does it (or longer)

The only ride I do not like is 7DMT if you are a odd number it will take 5X longer to load
