Ride DVD's

Has anyone ever purchased a ride DVD? I'm seriously debating buying one off of ebay just to satisfy my Disney craving from time to time. I was wondering if you have bought one, did you enjoy it? Is the quality good on most of them? I know alot of the You Tube videos are decent, but not great quality. Of course, alot of that is shot with low quality cameras and cell phones

I got some DVDs from civilwarmusician on ebay thanks to a recommendation from someone else here on the Dis. They are really great quality. In fact they are better than most of the DVDs we bought at the Park. One is a rides DVD it doesn't have every ride on it but, there are a lot of good ones.

I got some DVDs from civilwarmusician on ebay thanks to a recommendation from someone else here on the Dis. They are really great quality. In fact they are better than most of the DVDs we bought at the Park. One is a rides DVD it doesn't have every ride on it but, there are a lot of good ones.

I "second" his incredible DVD quality. I have just about everything he produces. His quality is extremely high grade and his delivery of product is very fast. He is listed as a "Preferred Seller" for me!

Thats about right. They do skip a lot. I probably would not recommend them

Also be aware that you can find most if not all ride/attraction videos on youtube as well.

That's the person I bought it from and the exact DVD I bought. I figured I'd try that one out first. He had alot to choose from.

Just a warning about these DVD's. No doubt, the video quality is amazing. However, for some strange reason, he uses his own music instead of the actual music and sounds from the attractions, which for me, completely ruined it.

Has anyone ever bought from Relive The Magic? They have a great sale going on right now. I got a 4 disc ride set and a walk through all 4 parks set for under $40, shipping included.

Just a warning about these DVD's. No doubt, the video quality is amazing. However, for some strange reason, he uses his own music instead of the actual music and sounds from the attractions, which for me, completely ruined it.

I believe he uses the "actual, live" sounds while filming the parades and fireworks.

I asked him about his using the Disney music in the background versus the "live" sounds on some of his footage. I believe he stated that the reason he does this is because with "live" sound, the quality is not always the best.

I know I enjoy the "live" sound of the parks, but can understand why he chooses to dub Disney music in instead.

I have to disagree with hubbie. Watching Disney video is not even close to being there in person. But it can give you insight as to what is there that doesn't get discussed on the boards. IMHO
