as stated by yavn he said our first room needed to be named SpaceRacetitlehere, but what do we name the other rooms same thing? or can we choose our own room name?

-thanks, zeniff

The other rooms should be able to be titled anything (avoid dictionary dances though). It is only the start rooms that need to be titled the way they say so they can find your room easy and others will know that it is a ride room when the event is taking place. Of course knowing them they could easily change this as more rules are posted lol

I have two ride rooms and the ride starting room is the SpaceRacetitlehere deal. But i used "Frost to the Future" for the next one.

From my understanding and what I have seen from peoplewho already have theirs open only the start room must be: "Space Race -Your Title Here-"

Other than that I could have my others room titled anything. There is an example below:

Room #1: Space Race KrazyLuke
Room #2: Rocket
Room #3: Crater

The rules specificly indicate ride title should be in my case "SpaceRaceAdventuredaz" It will not allow this I can do "Space Race Adventuredaz" or "Space RaceAdventuredaz" as well these will work with small case but as the rules state it must all run together. At least in my case this is not possible. Anyone else with this problem and has anyone gottten feedback on this issue. Or is it another case of the rules being so clear that they are unclear.

I was doing Hula's game room tonight and someone asked about this and she said that spaces were ok and in fact that was the only way the room titles would work. Maybe she needs to proof read Yavn's info ;)

Yavn was pretty clear with everything he said. All except that part. I said to myself I'll assume it'll need to run together unless someone corrects the dude.

If how he typed it is the way it's going to be, a (yes you read that right) would of made it more clear. :confused3

Maybe this is the staff's way of getting out of the ride competition. No one can have their title that way so everyone is automatically disqualified. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I love it!

Thanks OP for posting i had the same question. As far as the room title... IMHO ; ( not that i'm anyone important) As along as it states SPACERACE before your your name i don't see what difference the spaces matters. :confused3

but that is just my opinion i didn't talk to anyone that would know about it.

Thanks to all who posted about the SpaceRaceYourNameHere problem. I'm having the same problem. For the record, as of now, the dictionary doesn't even allow SpaceRace as one word ... let alone putting your name after it.

So what title are others planning to submit for their first room? I can't figure out whether to submit "SpaceRaceSimbaCub" (which will clearly never be allowed by the dictionary) SpaceRace SimbaCub (which might be possible with a dictionary fix in the next two weeks or Space Race SimbaCub (Which is legal right now).

Help! I don't want to be disqualified because of the dictionary!!!!

Well, you can do what I am going to do or waste a lot of time worrying about it and seeking an answer. Short of a fix going in place today, I intend to enter as "SpaceRaceAdventuredaz" as requested then title the room "Space Race Adventuredaz" if they fix it before competition I can adjust but I will be registered as requested. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, I will be losing sleep instead making up for 100K in credits yet again spent on a ride.

PLEASE NOTE: Your room name must begin with 'Space Race followed by your player name. Again, here's a correct example to register. Only registrations following this format will be accepted: ShrunkenNed
SpaceRaceShrunkenNed

I see it as room name will be Space Race title
Registration: title
SpaceRacetitle

If they don't limit the number of entries, it makes sense to wait for another update from yavn. However, I don't dare to assume they won't limit the number of entries. In past competitions, have they stated in the rules whether or not the number of entries was limited?

That sounds about right. :surfweb:
.....unless you spent 150K like me! Well, I have a question for registrations. Since the rooms will be called Space Race Alionette which of these would we do?:

1.)Alionette
Space Race Alionette
-or-
2.)Alionette
SpaceRaceAlionette

My guess is the first one, but I have no idea >_<.

I don't know about everest, but for the slide competition they said only the first 200 teams to sign up.

Here is directly from the newsletter (which makes it seem like we'd better do it right the first time)

"Only the first registration will be accepted and multiple registrations from the same player will not be allowed. You WILL NOT receive a confirmation email about your registration and only registered players will be judged."

the newsletter example DOES NOT have any spaces:
ShrunkenNed
SpaceRaceShrunkenNed

this was copied directly from the newsletter. My concern is that the game will not allow us to type it that way -but I haven't tried.
