I've got our trip booked for September, and I'm going to start keeping an eye on those operational updates.

When I visited last September, Spaceship Earth & Rock 'N Roller Coaster were both closed--not a huge deal, but disappointing. In Jan./February, we missed out on Splash Mountain--dd's absolute favorite.

Ever been really disappointed by an attraction's closure during your visit?

pirates was closed during my last visit :sad2: andddd during this visit it is supposed to be re-opening right before we get there, so hopefully their refurb doesn't run long!:scared:

When I was a child, I was devastated when Space Mountain was closed. This Jan we were also dissapointed that Splash Mountain was closed! It would have been DD first time riding it. But that is ok, gives her all the more reasons to be excited for this Oct's trip!

Spaceship Earth was closed when we were there last November.

In the grand scheme of things, I suppose it's not a huge deal, but it is disappointing when you can't ride your favorite rides during your trip. I imagine it's even more frustrating for people who don't get to go very often!

SE was closed during MOST of my trips last year, but I got to ride it in Feb.:thumbsup2 Splash was also closed, but I didn't want to ride that anyway.:confused3 This May I might be riding it!;)

Thunder Mountain was closed a few trips back. Our problem isn't so much the rides but the resorts.

We had the main pool closed at CBR one trip. Also we stayed at the Poly and had the main pool closed as well as no tiki torches. I was devasted. As a kid all I remember is going to the Luau and walking through the grounds with the lit torches. I finally stay there and no torches! :headache:

I'm going in September too, so I'll be watching the updates too. :surfweb:

This year was the last in several years that the Rock'n'Roller Coaster wasn't closed during my January trip. Splash Mountain has also been closed for at least two of the last trips.

My "please no not that!!" attractions:

Space Mountain (assuming it's the long refurb, if not, I'll be disappointed but back in a few months)
Pirates (my guests would be horribly, horribly disappointed)
Splash Mountain

My "if you have to close an e-ticket, make it this one":

BTMR

We were at the parks from 4/8-4/13. The only one we never got back to was Dinosaur at AK, yesterday. At other times, Spaceship Earth was closed (we got on it Saturday, only to get stuck for about 5 minutes toward the end of the ride), Pirates was down for a while, and I think Splash Mountain went down quickly.

Not bad, but frustrating when you have to leave at a certain time.

We visited last Sep as a family and both DS' were "devastated" that RnRC was closed. Big bummer. SE not so much.

Then I was there solo in Jan on business and had a day at MK, and Splash was closed - just like you! Not my absolute fav, but it was a bummer.

Our biggest disappointment though, was not from a closure due to rehab, but due to breakdown. We were in line for Space Mtn a couple of years ago, and it broke down. Then was closed for the rest of the day - and it was our last day... didn't get to ride it that trip after all. :sad2:

Haunted Mansion was closed last August and we never got to ride it, as was Spaceship Earth...

I'm looking forward to riding both now this trip!!

Obviously "rides"/attractions must be closed for refurb./maintainance, but what about things like Mickey's Philharmagic? Does that close?
That would be my devastating closure!

I was semi-disappointed that Living with the Land was closed when I went in 2006. I thought my boyfriend woulda liked it. There are rides and attractions that if they are closed when my trip is planned, I'd reschedule.

Last year Haunted Mansion was closed when we went. I knew about it in advance but was still extremely dissappointed as it's my favorite.

There are just some rides that you don't feel like it's a disney trip until you've done them and HM is one of mine (along with Pirates and IASW).

We went last Sept - I had been planning it as a surprise for my kids. None of us had ever been. I was really disappointed that HM was closed as it is the one I'll always remember when I went to DL as a kid. I had always talked it up with my kids so . . . . when I finally told the kids we're going to WDW they said, "Yipee!! Now we can ride Haunted Mansion!" :headache: Also since it was our first trip I was pretty disappointed to have RnRC closed, as well as SE. Then again, it gives us another reason to head back! :cool1:

Mine would definitely be Space Mountain. That was my favorite ride as a child and even though there are faster rides...it is still my favorite. I was so excited when my daughter was tall enough to ride it.

When we were there in January 2007; Splash Mtn and Rock n Roller coaster was closed; we went back in Sept 2007 Rock n roller coaster was closed again along with Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth.
We are going back this Sept. and my dh will be very disappointed if Rock n Roller Coaster is closed again. I have been watching the rehab schedule very closely; although, I don't know if I will tell him if I find out that RNR will be closed again.
I know sometimes there will be rumors of rides going down for rehab before it's officially announced; anybody hear any of those rumors for Sept.? (besides space mtn.)

On my first trip back with MY family, SE and HM were both closed. I so wanted DS7 to go on both of them...he would've LOVED HM.

I guess it means a return trip is in order...

I was there last September when RnRC and SSE were both closed. It was my first trip in 7 years so I was pretty disappointed to have 2 of my favorites down.
