:scared: I know that worth is something that is debatable because each person has their own wants, but I have to ask this.

How much are the ride-a-thon items (rug, short shrub, and long shrub) really worth? :confused3

I have seen Pirate Quest being traded for them and other rare items being asked for them. I wonder because I want some rugs, but I am not sure if these are reasonable things to offer. :rolleyes1

Please let me know what you all think! All opinions are welcome!

Yesterday I traded 30 short walls for a white snowman (at the time when they were still available) so I would say that they are fairly valuable especially in bulk

I think that trading anything significant for these items just yet would be a mistake. We dont know yet if they will be available through other means.

We do know there are lots out there, meaning many trade options available.

My opinion, since you asked.

I agree. I'm shocked at what ppl are trading for them. I didn't get many short walls so I'm hoping they will go on sale or be available through an arcade type game one of my good friends will be good at  so I can get more. Depends on how urgent you are I guess.

I agree with Dreams. Although in bulk you could get a pretty good deal for them. If they are not available for purchase at another time you might find yourself out in the cold. Personally I think they will come back however, but at a greater than 10 credit cost, so if you plan on making a ride room you will need them.

Since you are a newer player tho you might want to take a gamble to get some items you might not so easily get ahold of. Or if you dont have any plans on making a ride room, then by all means "off" them while they are hot!

haha so I played a safe answer huh... should you trade them? MAYBE !! ROFL

These guys are right to a point! The guy I traded with was standing in the middle of the courtyard offering holiday quest for the shrubs at about 3PM. I guess he didn't feel like riding. He told me to make an offer and I made a lowball offer of 30 (thinking that he would counteroffer for more) but he accepted immediately. When you think about I got a white snowman for 300 credits :) So he really got the raw end of the deal but apparently didnt think so.

I've also seen a lot of ppl in trading rooms offering rare for these items. So I'm going to hold out for the stuff i really need :)

That all depends on his situation.

Maybe he has 30 white snowman. Also, you got a white snowman for 300 credits PLUS your time to gather them during the ride-a-thon. Depending upon someone's time and "real life" (ah!) that time could be worth several hundred (or thousands) of dollars an hour.

He was really trading you a white snowman for your time to gather the 30 walls. Depending on his situation, he made feel he got the deal of the week. That's the wild card in VMK, you just never know what someone else values.

Congrats on your white snow!

I have only been playing VMK for four months so this is my first ride-a-thon. I was told that the ride pieces from previous ride-a-thons were not sold after that so I think that if that is the case for this one that the buyers here are the ones getting the deal as the sellers had to spend a huge amount of time to get those and for whatever reason the buyer could not get them him/herself.

I have seen that each ride averaged more than three minutes on the weekend so the 10 credit costs should not even be a factor as the time it takes to accumulate 100 pieces is almost six hours. A lot of people can’t run more than one character at a time on their computers so the hypothetical 100 pieces could be all that a person has and they should be compensated accordingly.

I believe Yavn stated in his newsletter that the prizes from the Ride-a-thon would not be available any other way, so this will increase their value greatly.

My mistake, it seems he stated the following:

Make tracks to the Ride-A-Thon and win dark ride items like this Alice track piece before they're released.

So, trade them while you can!
