Do not ask why I am up already.

Steph, how fun, is this another WillyJ meeter?

Rob, you forgot one thing, when she starts with the money thing it is often accompanied by  ! GOod that her Doc thinks she is doing so well, bad that Auntie Gina has already influenced her vocabulary!

So many pages, I forget most of what everyone says by the time it's my turn. Diane and Kathy, hope your pains in the neck go away. Marla, congrats on Kara making the city team, more running for you, I am sure. Elaine, how's the caffiene? Carol, crossing fingers for Sarah.

It was a lettle breezy last night, I wonder if I have to vacum again. The vac will run itsels, but if the eucalyptus tree is shedding bark (as they do), I have to get in and scoop all that up myself, the vac would get clogged, and then stop working.

Think I will catch up on the rest of the board, I'll be back.

Morning, Lorraine!

Good morning all! I've sent my pm in hopes of a WooHoo.

Congrats to Kara, Marla!

Good luck to Sarah!

I hope that both Diane and Kitty feel better soon.

I never stopped calling my father Daddy. I took some ribbing about it at school, and tried to only refer to him as Dad in public, but he was always Daddy in person. I still refer to him as Daddy,

Rob, I'm glad to hear that Kasie is doing so well. If you find one of those money trees, let me know will you? Michael starts university in 2 years, and then Ginny will hit it.

Steph, it should be a lot of fun having that friend with you.

Last night while the kids were all out on the water paddling and sailing, a storm blew in really fast. The first we realized it was coming was with the first boom of thunder. The kids all made it in safely, but by the time they'd all paddled back the storm was in full force. I was out there helping to pull canoes in as fast as we could move them. About 5 or 10 minutes after the last one was in, I looked over and there was a huge torrent rushing out from under the bridge that is right beside our docks. There were tree branches and trunks and at one point even the hulk of an old wooden boat came rushing out. This is actually the outlet for the storm sewers in the area, so you can imagine how fast the water was coming down to cause this. If the kids had still been in the water when this started, there would have been no way they could hold the boats against that current. We almost lost one of the motor boats that go out with them as safety boats. Everyone was trying to pull it out of the water, but the current was so fast and strong that it flipped the boat. Thankfully they managed to save it. We had a very upset Mother for a while during this. She had come to get her 2 sons, and they were nowhere to be found. She had one of thier lifejackets, but no sign of them. We knew they had come in, but couldn't find them anywhere. The father had arrived and taken them home without her knowing it. Thankfully, he realized that she must have gone to get them when he got home and she wasn't there, and he came back to let us know. I but there was some heavy storms inside that house too! We were all very relieved that things went as well as they did. With that many kids out on the water when something like this happens, it can be a little nerve wracking.

Thank goodness it turned out the way it did, Kathy! What a frightening experience! Mother Nature sure has unleashed some venom this year, hasn't she?

Gina type words, Rob???? Care to share???? :smooth:

I'm the NICE girl......I'm goin' to heaven......:teeth:

Just for the record, I STILL don't understand yesterday's riddle and it was supposed to be an easy one. My old mind must be slipping. I did send in a guess today.

Diane, I'll have to say I'm on the opposing side today. I've been a Royals fan for years, since my family is originally from KC. We've been playing well this year, so we have high hopes. Hope the results of the CT are helpful and you feel better soon.

Congratulations to Kara. Bet she'll love it. My DS started swimming on our swim team in April, I think. He's improved so much in a few months. He'll be on the high school team in the fall and the coaches said they'll be proud to have him as part of the team because he works so hard.

Bernie, that sounds like lots of fun. What a neat teacher.

Kitty, hope the therapy helps. Nothing worse than a sore neck.

Kathy, that sounds scary. Glad everything turned out okay.

How scary, Kath! I've been caught out on the water a few times when bad weather has rolled in suddenly. You realize just how vulnerable you are then! I'm glad that no one was hurt!

Merry - count the e's! :-) Way cool for your DS! I hope he has a great time this fall! :-)
