Good morning all! I've sent my pm in hopes of a WooHoo.
Congrats to Kara, Marla!
Good luck to Sarah!
I hope that both Diane and Kitty feel better soon.
I never stopped calling my father Daddy. I took some ribbing about it at school, and tried to only refer to him as Dad in public, but he was always Daddy in person. I still refer to him as Daddy,
Rob, I'm glad to hear that Kasie is doing so well. If you find one of those money trees, let me know will you? Michael starts university in 2 years, and then Ginny will hit it.
Steph, it should be a lot of fun having that friend with you.
Last night while the kids were all out on the water paddling and sailing, a storm blew in really fast. The first we realized it was coming was with the first boom of thunder. The kids all made it in safely, but by the time they'd all paddled back the storm was in full force. I was out there helping to pull canoes in as fast as we could move them. About 5 or 10 minutes after the last one was in, I looked over and there was a huge torrent rushing out from under the bridge that is right beside our docks. There were tree branches and trunks and at one point even the hulk of an old wooden boat came rushing out.

This is actually the outlet for the storm sewers in the area, so you can imagine how fast the water was coming down to cause this. If the kids had still been in the water when this started, there would have been no way they could hold the boats against that current. We almost lost one of the motor boats that go out with them as safety boats. Everyone was trying to pull it out of the water, but the current was so fast and strong that it flipped the boat. Thankfully they managed to save it. We had a very upset Mother for a while during this. She had come to get her 2 sons, and they were nowhere to be found. She had one of thier lifejackets, but no sign of them. We knew they had come in, but couldn't find them anywhere. The father had arrived and taken them home without her knowing it. Thankfully, he realized that she must have gone to get them when he got home and she wasn't there, and he came back to let us know. I but there was some heavy storms inside that house too! We were all very relieved that things went as well as they did. With that many kids out on the water when something like this happens, it can be a little nerve wracking.
