They are quite the cult tv show over here, and McDonalds last year (or perhaps the year before!) did a beanie range of them in the Happy Meal!

Morning Riddle Friends!!!! Getting a little later start than usual as I'm still feeling a bit under the weather and can't get moving QUITE as early in the AM's these past couple of weeks....

John - Way to go on LPP & FPP! (and Carol....Thanks for forfeiting...a SMALL sacrifice for the group's benefit!!! )

Gaspode - 5 DAYS!!!! I'm be shouting from the rooftops!!! I'm starting my planning already (and SEMI-shouting from the rooftops)! Can't say I've heard of the Wombles.

Sandi - GREAT news about Darren....continued thoughts and prayers....

OK - I have that broadcast set as my pre-set on 365....when I'm planning a trip I start playing it daily once I hit a couple of monthe before (kind of like they way I start playing my Christmas CD's in October ) - enjoying Sam Eagle at Muppetvision 3-D right about now!

I went yesterday to see Bend It like Beckham....DEFINITELY worth the viewing....a "feel good" movie that really had some good messages...oh well....I guess I should PM - I think I may have this one! Catch you all later!

Gaspode - you guys have some pretty funky names for the characters in the kids t.v. shows!! McD's hasn't had any beanie promos lately. Although we are collecting the Nemo toys now. Anyone happen to have an extra Dori? That one is my favorite, but we can never find it.

Sorry to kind of hijack the thread OK!

SB - You did make me laugh, yes our names can be quite 'funky'... In the Wombles there were:

Orinoco, Bungo, Great Uncle Bulgaria - He is the leader!, Madame Cholet, Tobermory and Tomsk... there were others also. The show came out in the 70s I have now found out. but was redone in the 90s when it became popular again.

What is particularly scary is that, (like the smurfs?) the Wombles released a few singles into the music charts and did quite well I believe LOL

For anyone who really cares, the show was about these characters, who lived on Wimbledon Common (I'm sure you've heard of Wimbledon)... like all good childrens shows, there was a moral, they collected the rubbish that humans threw on the ground and turned it into something useful for their home

Morning everyone! Looks like a beautiful week here - and boy do we need it! Lots of yard work done yesterday, but much more needs to be completed. I hope Bernie is out of the shower soon. I need to jump in quickly so I can get DS up and ready for summer band this morning. Their last day is this Wednesday, and they are putting on a little concert at the end.

Gina - I wore my new Ron Jon shirt yesterday! Looks like you will have to go out shopping to get your own.

Good morning everyone! After reading through everyone's posts... the answer to today's riddle did finally "grow" on me! Sent my PM to Bernie.

I really need to check my PM's periodically - the notification appears not to be working for me... as I had a PM from Bernie from Friday - and I never knew about it until this morning when I accidently when into my user CP area.

Seems like good news from everyone this morning. Nice way to start off the week. I have a particularly STRESSFUL day ahead of me at work. It's tempting to just crawl back in bed. But I won't. It's just a day and this too shall pass.
