Good morning OK and the Corral

So much to comment on today. I am sure I will forget something.

Weather wise, we had a LOUD thunder storm at 4:24 this morning. My older dog is quite frightened by storms so made sure I was awake to fully enjoy his shaking and pacing and panting. By the time the storm was over, everyone in the house was awake. And, we went from putting the screens in the windows Monday to turning the heat back on today.

Today, in the Rice Krispies, I got a Mickey bobblehead to join his friend Goofy on my kitchen window sill.

Diane, sounds like you should just move into the church. We will be going tonight because Youth Chorale sings and DD will be playing bells. Then we will go with DB on Easter.

DSIL wants me to bring my plastic eggs, I must have at least 6 dozen, to add to hers for an egg hunt. The cousins are a bit too old, 16, 14, 14, and 11, so she was going to do it outside at night with flashlights. Said she has done this before and the kids liked it.

Just wanted to say "Hi" and let you know I'm still "lurking" about ... LOL

Things are just so crazy, with work, the closing, scheduling Kasie's time, etc.

About the closing, it's been postponed to 4/25 (next Fri.).
But the tenants for my current place move in 5/15 I believe,
so "time's a wasting" and I can't afford further delays.
Keep your fingers crossed it'll finally happen next Fri.

BTW, buy stock in Home Depot 'cause I'll be there a lot in the next few months ... LOL

Sis - A NIGHTTIME egg hunt!!! That's a great idea! We do treasure hunts in the backyard. I'll hide something (the prize) and then give the kids a clue that leads them to another clue, which leads to another....etc. The kids love doing that!


We've had to turn our heat back on too. it has been downright COLD here the past couple of nights!

Good Morning all! I sure needed those pants today, Bernie! Brrr! Please send that warmer weather here "double quick", Diane. We've got freezing rain and wind chills!

That San Antonio breakfast sure looks crumptious. Did anyone think about making the coffee cake recipe? I'm a little confused about how to add the ingredients. I gather those are unbaked dinner rolls, do you melt the butter and do you make the butterscotch pudding before adding? As you can see I'm not really much of a "baker" and need more detailed instructions.

I haven't had an Easter Egg hunt in a few years, but was thinking about doing it this year. The boys are growing up "too" quickly!

We had a bad storm night before last. The wind was so strong that it blew the turbine off our roof and bent it beyond repair. Oh the joys of spring in Oklahoma. DH tried to buy a new one yesterday afternoon. He went several places and no one had the right size. Please cross your fingers for me. We have a huge hole in the roof with plastic stretched over it and they are forcasting storms for this weekend. We need some hail repelling/turbine finding pixie dust and we need it now!

A turbine is a metal whirlygig-thingie on your roof that allows the heat in your attic to be released in the summer. It gets so hot here in the summer, that they are a necessary evil. They are great while they are working, but terrible if they come down and leave a hole in the roof!

DH was finally able to locate the elusive size, so hopefully we'll be "covered" before the next round of storms.
