Ok weekend here. House is fairly warm. Landlord got home last night but still no word on the heat situation. Ugh

We took Dorian to see LOTR's- Two Towers. We all loved it.

Other than that we spent the weekend tidying up and relaxing..

I never mentioned it on any of the other boards, but Saturday was very difficult here...Christa McAuliffe was one of my teachers, I was a junior in 1986, and remember being in the auditorium watching the whole thing.....Saturday was a huge shock.

Now, not to start a debate....but here (or maybe it's me) the Columbia tragedy was not as big of a tragedy as Challenger, is that just because we were so close to it in 86, or is it because as a society we've become used to hearing about tragic events? That's not to say we haven't given pause to what has happened, I'm just saying that in 1986 it seems like it was ALL consuming, and this time it was substantial, but regarded as an unfortunate accident.....and we all carried on. In 1986, our lives came to a screeching halt.....

We had an extremely busy weekend!

Erin was in another skating competion this weekend. She entered four events and got two thirds and two firsts!

Erin also went to the semi-formal dance on Saturday night. She looked wonderful. I hope to have pics soon. I also bought the first corsage I've bought in a long time for that....

A great weekend for her.

Katie's soccer team won their game 5-3. It was a great game!

Add in skating lessons, visiting time with Dad, and dinner with friends and it all adds up to a very nice, busy weekend!

A somber weekend indeed. Our resolve is to continue in our endeavors. A sage promise in the hope of future knowledge. In this way, our sacrifice is not in vein.

Morning, OK and Corral! Still warm here this morning, but we had 6 inches of snow last night.

I feel so connected to this shuttle loss! We watched the launch the day before we left WDW. At that time I had a premonition of something going wrong, but when the launch went fine, I shrugged it off. Now I feel like I was a soothsayer!

Glanced at the riddle, but have to think on it awhile. I will not be spending much time here today. With all the snow and freezing rain that preceeded it, I will have to do lots of dog run shoveling this morning!
