Riddle me this!

Good morning all! It is a "beautiful" snowy -5 here and I really would love to go back home and curl up in bed!!! But I am here at work instead and as soon as I warm up, I will be diving in to my fun work I get to do :)

Boo's Mom, so glad to hear that you can make it to Riddle Con! I have a room booked too in case the group rate thing isn't good enough. I am so excited about this! I just have to work on getting my DH excited too :)

Bernie, I am watching how much it hurts my dad to see the last one of his kids move out (my sis will move in May when she is married). I can only imagine how rough that is for you.

Gina, congratulations to your DS!!! That is excellent!!!

Diane, I saw TLK twice already... this past weekend in Columbus as Marla said and the weekend before in Chicago. I agree, the details are wonderful and I loved seeing it! I can't wait to catch Aladdin next year and even that Black Stalion movie looked great too! I had never been to the IMAX before and I think it is wonderful!

Great to see you Chip!!!

My DS did the "quit school, and work" thing too. Now at 27 he is really enjoying school and has a new look at things! Some just aren't ready when they first get out of high school!

Wheeew...

Cain is sick, so Abel won't be coming either....my kids are all dressed, house is picked up.....and the bus doesn't come for another hour+....

Why is it most other mornings are so tough to get moving...LOL...

Diane, if you could just find me a new sheet set to match the border, you'd really be my hero...LOL...

Hiya Heather!!!

Good luck to your DS Bernie! It's gotta be hard to watch your child go out on his own! {{Hugs}}

Have a great day everyone!

LOL, Boo'sMom! There used to be sheet sets like that border, but I haven't seen them for quite awhile. Try looking at Sears.

Good morning all,

Just enough snow here to add to the morning routine so I can't stay long. I've tried 2 guesses with no luck so I may check back later. They say the first time's the charm!

Everyone had busy weekends...and despite the appearance I gave yesterday, "playing" on Friday's riddle thread, we did some stuff too. Our right of passage was putting a desk in DD's room. Third grade seems to be the year they really need one...although in her case, it was more needed for surface area for her Harry Potter toys!!

Have a great day everyone!

Sent a pm!!!! Have to run will come back and read the thread after I get Dorian off to school.....

The snow plow just went past, so things must be clear now. I suppose I need to go out to the new place and "shovel the floor" in the part that has no roof yet!

Hi Marsha,
You missed all the fun last night in the riddle thread....we thought of you though.....

S

I had to go back many pages to read about Gina's son in his swimming meet..... of course as a retired Mother of swimmers, I do understand the lingo.. Bravo to him.. swimming up in his age group too.....I am sure he will be turning those silvers into gold before you know it.. I loved going to swim meets, it was great exercise for them from the age of 5 through high school..

Congrats!!

Good morning OK and the Corral! :teeth:

Gina - congratulations to your DS! I wish we had a swimming program here in our town for my DD to participate in. I know it is very competitive though... so he must be doing very well!

Vanessa - what a chore! Our girl scout troop has not begun the cookie sale yet... we do it later in the year than your neck of the woods. Unfortunately, I always end up having to buy quite a few boxes... which will be ridiculous this year as we have all but cut out eating sugar in our household! :p DH is the only one who eats sweets... so guess I better make sure they are the varieties HE likes!

Stephanie - HURRAH that you are coming to Riddlecon!

I made all my arrangements for riddlecon last night. Because this is a fairly long airplane trip for us to get there... I am coming a few days early to just play with my family - since we are coming so far. We will be arriving the evening of the 29th and leaving on the afternoon of the 3rd. I am staying at the Days Inn and have a compact rental car arranged to get around in. Purchased the season passes for all of us - since we are there more than two days it turned out to be the most economical choice with the current low rates. SO..... except for some spending money and making arrangements to have our horses cared for in our absence... I think I am good to go! DD is thrilled to be able to go to this DIS meet.... she was sad to be left behind at DIS CON. She was also delighted to see so many kids around her age are coming. She will be 11 1/2 by then. :)

Long week ahead for me. Flying to New York tomorrow to price and sell a BUNCH of bonds and will be there until Thursday... then I am in Olympia on Friday to execute the necessary resolutions and purchase contracts. So today and tomorrow morning are my only time this week on the riddle. Need to bank up some smarty pants!

LOL! That sounds like my DD as a 5th grader! If it is in her room... it is occupied by Digimon critters, Breyer model horses (a whole stable of those), and books/artwork/craft projects... everywhere!

She has a computer center in our main computer/office room - she and DH share that room. We got her a good sized computer desk that has surface space for regular studying and writing and that is where she now does her homework. Her room is just too much of a disaster area for a good study nook. :p

Brrrrrrr........ Just got back from driving DD to school & the thermometer in my mini-van said it was -8!!

I'm gonna check in to the season passes to CP today:D Since it's ony 2-/12 hours away we would go a few more times this year i we had season passes!

YESTERDAYS (todays, Saturdays, Fridays????) riddle, what were (are) you all doing? The Never Ending Riddle Thread?

I was watching the game, having a Diet Vanilla Coke, leaving the laptop off.

Gonna be 78 here today, and the president of AT&T (my employer) is going to be in town. Oh joy, we get free snacks and a speach! Tee hee, I am going to TDS before, how convenient, the mall is right across the street from the hotel she is in! A hear there is a great pin sale and also new antenna balls.

Have a good day, all. I am shutting down, getting gorgeous, and going to work.
