Good morning all! I sure have missed you all for the past 2 days! I'll have to think about today's riddle, but at least I have yesterpants to keep me warm!
The past couple of days have been kind of nuts for me. Tuesday night, DD was screaming in pain after dinner and complaining of sharp pains in her right abdomin. I took her to emerg to make sure that it wasn't her appendix. They checked her all over, took blood (it took 2 lab techs and 4 tries before they could get it
) and after waiting an hour for the results, they sent us home for the night since the pain had subsided, but they told us we'd have to come back the next day for more tests. The hospital called before 7 am to tell us that they wanted to see her at 8. for a CAT scan. When we got there, they sent her for an ultrasound instead because of her age. Unfortunately, it didn't work, so she still had to have the CAT scan.
Back down to the ER to wait for the results. After about an hour they told us she was fine as far as the appendix goes but her glands in that area are swollen and that is what was causing the pain. She spent the rest of the day at home and I raced home and got ready to run to work. That evening I had to go and decorate the cakes that I thought I was supposed to do last week. Yesterday, I ended up having to drive DS to school before I went to work, so there went my riddle time yesterday.
Len and I are going to Toronto tonight for a fancy Robbie Burns dinner with my sister and her DH. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm glad that it worked out for riddlecon on a weekend that we can make it! I would have been really disappointed if we couldn't go, but I'm really sorry that not everyone will be there.
