Riddle me this!

paras4ri....congratulations to your DS. We too are a scouting family.....for our AOL ceremony we have a local girl here who is on the Olympic archery team come to our meeting. We put all the AOL awards on the target and she shoots her arrow through each award. Then she presents the boys with the arrow and the cards...it's very cool.

One of the dad's in our pack actually shoots a lighted arrow.....but it's very well controlled so nobody can get hurt. They turn out all the lights and the arrow lights an arc as it goes by.

I still can't believe it's been 5 years. He's not going on to Boy Scouts. School is requiring more and more work and he's also a baseball and soccer player. He had to choose what to focus on and learn to make choices as he will for the rest of his life.

Paras4ri , now that is cool!!!!!

So,you all may have read this morning that DH and I are hoping to "escape" for a weekend in February to the World. Looking for some input from all of you.
We can stay at WL or Wilderness Cabins for roughly the same price. We've stayed at WL and love it (Poly was first choice by only concierge available to the tune of +$250). We are thinking of taking the kids to the cabins in October so I was thinking we could check it out.....
Which would you stay at?

I've always wanted to try the Cabins. If you do, please report back....:D

Gina, I am getting excited. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It's 15 degrees here this morning, I'm SO ready for some beach weather!!

Good morning everyone!

Lots of pleasant news today here on the riddle! :) Glad to hear Kim is doing well and on the road to recovery.

Congratulations to Norah! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

How exciting Boosmom to have a trip in the work!

Congratulations Gail to your son... sounds like you are doing a good job with him. :)

My favorite smells:

Lilacs
Freshly ground coffee
A pouch of pipe tobacco (no I don't smoke but it smells beautiful)
The ocean

Boo'sMom - you've done a very nice job on that site! Your AOL ceremony sounds very, very cool!

What a grand accomplishment that is! You should be so proud of your sons! :)

My son had a great time in Cub Scouts but really didn't like Boy Scouts much. He really had too much else going on as well. Actually, his decision not to keep going in scouts got our family back into camping! I really couldn't imagine life without camping!

Heather - I hope that you get to travel to Orlando often and spend some time with them there.....on Main Street. :)

I stayed in the Cabins in 2000. They were WONDERFUL. Really, really GREAT! Check Here for a lot of information on Fort WIlderness, including the cabins. In fact, if you go to the Guest Comments section for the cabins, you'll see my review from back then! The only downside to the cabins was transportation. We rented a car so it wasn't much of an issue for us, but I don't know that I'd want to depend on Disney transportation to get around from FW - JMHO. :)

Sandi - I know you'll have a great, warm time! :)

Favorite smells - Fresh Caramel Corn, Gasoline (is that strange?), Lilacs, campfires, fresh bread. :)

Have a WONDERFUL day, riddle friends!

Good morning OK and the Corral

Another 2 hour delay to school today. Really fouls things up in the morning. I will have to tell the kids I can drop them off at school early or (horror of horrors) they can ride the bus. DD will want to drive but if schools are late because of slick roads, I don't think I want her driving.

I don't know this riddle but I am working on it.

Thanks for the great link, Bernie!

Have a wonderful day, y'all....:D

Well... I am kind of excited. Last weekend I booked arrangements for our Spring vacation. We are heading to Kalaloch Washington - staying a week in a cabin on the ocean bluff. :) It has been about 5 years since we have stayed there... and it was time for a dose of ocean.

Here's a link to the website of the lodge and the cabins:

Kalaloch by the Ocean and Olympic National Park

I love the hikes in the Hoh Rain Forest, and wilderness beaches that are not accessible by car (got to hike many miles to get in to them!).

Should be fun! But... I've got the planning bug going... need to nail down our Cedarpoint meet soon. :)

Good morning to all the riddle groupies!

Better late than never!

Good news about Kim! And great trip to Diane!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning All!

Came on-line this a.m. to bump up a thread I did last night (blatant plea to check it out!) but could not sign off without popping in here and saying hello to everyone.

Only time, however, to just skim through the first page and the last few postings. Heard the good news last night about Amid's daughter and wishing her (and her parents) the best of luck. Way to Go!!!

Glad to see Snowwark fared well.

A cabin on an ocean bluff!!! Sounds like a wonderful vacation spot!!

Already late for work and I still gotta do makeup and hair. Everyone have a great day!

Oh, and as usual, no clue with the riddle.....

Was the date ever set for the Cedar Point meet .. or were we just in the "tossing around" stage .......I forget ... must be that aging thing :D

Wow - 6 pages already - I must be running late - maybe it was due to sleeping in you think?

Sent a grumpy kid off to school -

Glad to hear Kim came through great

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning all! I'm clueless in Canada in spite of the clues! I really don't like these letter ones!

Glad to hear that Kim's doing so well! Say Hi to her for me Gina.

Congrats again to Norah! I don't doubt that she was excited last night!

Congrats to your son Paras4ri! My DS didn't go to cubs. In fact he only joined scouts when he was 12, so he just had 2 years there before he moved up to Ventures. DH is still a scout leader though.

All of these Girl Scout cookies flavours sound great! We don't get all of the choices up here. Our Guides sell choclate mint ones in November and boxes of mixed vanilla and chocolate creme filled ones in the spring.

I have a hard time deciding what my favourite smell is. Every time somebody says what theirs is, I think "yeah that one too!" (except gasoline! Yech!) Baking bread, babies after their bath, campfires, and lily of the valley are probably some of my favs.

Have to run now to get ready for work which will be a challenge without pants . Have a great day all!

Boo'sMom....I've never stayed at the cabins, but if they are anything like the Treehouses....GO FOR IT!!! We stayed at the Treehouses our first trip out...and have never topped it. We've also stayed at WL...it is great. Let us know what you decide!

DD.....a cabin on a bluff overlooking the ocean....now I can do that in a heartbeat! I probably can do the hiking thing, too. Ah, maybe someday!!!

Gasoline, Bernie!!! LOL LOL LOL....though actually I don't hate it.

I love the smell of suntan lotion! Just reminds me of the ocean....another of my favorite smells!

And congrats to Gail and her DS! Isn't it nice to see them achieve???

Have a grand day, everyone!

Anyone here a TYPE K???? LOL LOL LOL;) ;) ;)

Gina....tell me about the Treehousese???

Weren't they part of the Polynesian...they no longer exist do they????

My MIL raves about staying there in the past....but then again...she is a raving...okay...not going there today..

speaking of smells, I better get in the shower and do something more productive with my day...LOL...
