Things do tend to get a bit slower in the summer, Diane. This time of year is when I normally take a little hiatus as I adjust my work schedule to a summer schedule. With work being so busy, I haven't been able to move my hours....plus, I'd hate to take a break with RiddleCon coming up!

But I'll likely take a break after RiddleCon.

The break gives me time to reload on riddles and B&B's too!

I always miss it when you do your usual summer hiatus, but I really understand why! I usually take a break from DISing much in the summer too. I will probably try to get on once while we are at WDW, but you will probably not be posting a riddle then, since it is the last week of August!

I am really hoping that things slow down, Diane - it has been very, very hectic. Right now, it looks like I won't be travelling this weekend. Things are really stacking up at work.....

Fred's in the same boat, Bernie. He's worked the last two weekends and really should be in on Sunday to oversee some electrical work being done. He's dragging butt right now.

BElieve me, I understand THAT one, OK! DH has been swamped at work and trying to complete things on the house as well. We have NO free time any more! Sometimes those little snafus are the things that cause a lot of grief! It took us 3 hours to get passable holes drilled through the logs in the sun room for the thermastat wire in there. Then last night it took us two more hours to get the darned thing through the holes! Little things like that that take a frustratingly long time are the problems now!

We've got a new management team taking over the account (again) and they are really shaking some things up. The changes are really welcomed - they seem to have a VERY good handle on how to fix some things that we haven't done well at, but it is generating A LOT of work!!

Those are always trying times. This too shall pass. DH hardly remembers all the hassles from last year when they were trying to move the call center for the security division!

Same thing here, Bernie. Fred's site is going through huge shakeups with the promise of major changes. I hope the changes do materialize because once the FDA is involved, it can become a major disaster. They've just gotten out from under an FDA sanction and another was looming. DH's been pulling his hair out because he could see it coming!

Morning all - clueless here

Last night dd tried out for the local swim team - after a few minutes the assistant coach came over and said she would be fine and he was going to let her swim with some of the team for about 1/2 hour.

He then went on to explain that they offer a one week free trial period so the kids can try out the team and practice schedule

Poor kid - she was so tired she could hardly climb out of the pool
