Riddle me this! The MONDAY edition!

Silly me - forgot to say thanks for the pants - I will be the best dressed person at the grocery in a bit:D

Morning Riddle Meister and Fellow Riddlers!

Bernie, that's great news about DS! Maybe he's had a taste and will settle down. :)

Sandi--I graduated from Temple! It's a huge school--and from what I understand, it's gotten even bigger! Of course, you know I went there in the stone age :p I love Reading Terminal Market too. The prices are really good.

Hope your dogs have fun today Diane :teeth: , although it's probably more fun au-natural :teeth:

I have to say that I did not get the clues that were given for Friday's riddle at all!

Gorgeous day today here near Philly!

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone!

TXTiggr - Did the closing go okay on Friday?!

Elaine - What does your dad do that he travels so much?! (if you don't mind my asking?!)

Diane - I read your post about Duffy's problem with figuring out the mechanics of AI... and having done that with horses... I figured I wasn't going to "touch" that one! LOL! :p

Bernie - Sounds like you are pretty happy to have your son home again. :) Congratulations on getting your trip all lined out. I know I love to plan our getaways. Let's see... the next big one would be .... RIDDLECON!!! (few small trips in between - but that is the next major trip we have scheduled!)

Vanessa - I too am looking forward to some PICS of Norah! How did the Easter low carb cheesecake turn out for you by the way?!

 Good morning everyone!

We had a beautiful weekend here. Spent the day Saturday in Spokane with DD shopping. I needed new work clothes as I was down to one suit that fit well. The rest are too big. :teeth: I am still moving downwards... but I had to break down and buy some clothes - as I need to look professional in my career. So I dropped alot of money on Saturday and got some new duds! Sunday was spent outside as much as possible. Went for a bike ride with DD and DH, then worked in the gardens most of the rest of the day. Lots to do... but it is so nice to feel the sun on my arms and to wear shorts again!

Good morning OK and the Corral

Laura, Leah looked lovely. Glad it was a good day. Not being Catholic, could you explain the tradition of the white dress to me. It always makes the girl look like a little bride.

Bro, I am glad that you are glad to have DS back. I am sure it will be an adjustment for you both. DD's BF is taking about moving out of his parents house. He will be 19 in June. He asked me what I thought of the idea.

Both kids' soccer teams won their games this weekend. DS's team played with only 9 this week. They are having trouble fielding a team each week. DS, who usually plays defense, was moved to offense. He scored a goal and I missed it because I was on a college visit with DD. They won "a lot" to 1. DD's team played their first game and won 6 to 3. They looked good together. It is the high school division of the rec league that they are just trying to get going so a lot of the HS team is playing together.

I just did some spring cleaning of my PM box so ready to get back my response to my answer. Hope it isn't IHSEIM.

Steph - while I didn't see the rooms, I spent a lot of time in the Boardwal area last December and fell in love with it. It really is gorgeous there! It is so handy too - both Epcot and MGM are minutes away and the Boardwalk is loaded with restaurants and shops. It is a whole different world there!

CRB - I hope your pageant went well and you were in fine voice! :)

Good morning, Elaine! Enjoy your Monday workday! :)

LOL, Lorraine! You guys are twins, right???? :teeth: :p :p :p

Sandi - I don't seem to get as much done as I'd like to on the weekdays, so I tend to try to get A LOT done during thw weekend! :)

The pageant went wonderfully Bernie---We practiced for 4 hours on Saturday---again before the service on Sunday and then the service---my vocal chords are tired. I'll stick to typing today.

My songs went really well, I have to say. The one was a very emotional song---people were starting to cry and I had to make sure I looked over their heads--I almost lost it once!

It was a very moving, spiritual experience. Thank you for asking!

CRB - I get the very same reaction from people when I sing - but for an entirely different reason...;) :p :p

Glad to hear it went well. :)

Marla - you're quite welcome! :)

I think the white dress signifies that the little girls are becoming "brides of Christ" be taking First Communion....

Sis - congrats to the kids for their soccer wins! How did the visit to UM go??

DblD - I was in shorts for much of the weekend. Boy oh boy did that feel GOOD!!! Congrats on your continued success with Atkins! :)

Have a terrific Monday everybody! Heigh Ho! :)

It isn't the AI he can't figure out....It's the REAL thing that has him baffled! I think he looks at Wendy as an "older woman" and it intimidates him!:p

Tee, hee, hee! You silly--Didn't I hear somewhere that you can really belt one out?

Hi Everyone...I just got up...it is my last day of April vacation :( MY kids are moping, not wanting it to end :( to tell you the truth, me either.

Just wanted to pop in and say "HI"

Sent you a pm Bernie!!!!

Good morning all! Once again my pants got here before I could finish reading what all of you chatty people have to say today!:D

Laura, that's a great pic of Leah! She looks absolutely beautiful!

Amid, I look forward to seeing a pic of Norah. It sounds like they had a good time.

Bernie, I'm not looking forward to the time when our kids leave home either. I really will miss having them around. Enjoy having Matt home again! I've only been to Colorado once, in 1968. Beautiful country! We were camping, and my Chinese cousin was with us. He was so surprised when he woke up in the morning and the top of the water in the wash basin was frozen over in July! It was really amazing to watch his reaction to everything as we drove across this big continent. He was used to Hong Kong where everything is jammed in together, and all of the wide open spaces, and the different kinds of terrain just blew him away! The night before we crossed the desert, it was so hot that we went swimming just before bed and slept in wet bathing suits. He slept on top of a picnic table because the tent was too hot, even for him, and he was used to hot temps in HK.

Congrats to your DD, Sandi!

While DH and DS were away at Scout camps this weekend, DD and I had a nice girls weekend. We went out for dinner and did some shopping Friday night. Saturday, when I got home from work, we went out and had vegetarian pizza (something the guys won't touch!) and went to see "What a Girl Wants". We both enjoyed the movie. We stopped at DQ for dessert on the way home. Sunday morning we went out for breakfast before I had to go to work. It was nice to get to spend some time with just her.

The visit to University of Maryland was OK. It was raining at the beginning but stopped before the walking tour. There had been a double shooting on campus the day before but it really wasn't mentioned. It was also Maryland Day with a lot of extra activites happening so not a true feel for the school. It is SO BIG. We may have to go back. I really liked UMass better.

Mornin' Breezy.....Twelve years of Catholic school!!! I think the white dresses symbolizes the purity of the soul, which has been cleansed of sin with the Sacrament of Penance...are you impressed?!?

:D

Good Morning all! :sunny: Gorgeous day predicted here ~ 75º!!

Leah looks so pretty, Laura!

Looking forward to Norah's prom pics Amid.

I hope the closing was successful on Friday, TXT.

Colorado is still on my list of "must sees", Bernie. One day, we want to drive out west to California.

Len, wow, sounds like a stressful weekend of camping for you!

Diane, sorry your allergies are in full swing. :( I'm just waiting for mine to kick in, although they haven't been as bad the last couple of summers.

Have a great Monday everyone! :)

LTM, glad you answered that white dress question! I must confess, I've forgotten many things I learned in CCD, so I wasn't quite sure how to answer Carol. I've been teaching CCD for the past three years and it's been really interesting to "re-learn" things from an adult's perspective. I was thinking it had something to do with the purity of their soul, but I wasn't quite sure. When Logan made his First Communion two years ago, he was the only boy. He borrowed his cousin's all white suit, and boy did he look sharp! No digital pictures of him, however. I had never heard of an all white suit for boys, but now that I've seen it a few times I think they look really great in them.
No worries about my two moving out. Leah told me she is never getting married and she's going to live with me forever!:D We'll see how long that lasts when those raging hormones take hold in a few years...
Just realized - I should have taken a digital picture of Leah and her Aunt Lorraine yesterday to post for everyone. Oh, well...

Dylan says that he's never moving out either. And if Mom & Dad want to move when we retire he gets to keep the house:p

Vegas was a bust, but we saw Blue Man Group, that made up for the non winnings.

Wow , everyone had a busy weekend. I am looking forward to this week being over, and it hasn't even started!

Diane, we had a dog who never "did it" till he was 11. And the look on his face when he finally "hooked up" was priceless!

Bernie, yesterday's travel section was all about the area south of Cancun, look for it in your mail, there may be a place or 2 for you to check out.

Laura, Leah looked beautiful.

I did not see our new uniform. Perhaps I will get it later today?

Everyone else, sorry, I can never remember what has been said from page one forward to the page I get to post on. Maybe I should have 2 screens open.

Time to run and get ready for work. I will check in later.

Oh one more thing, Rob, did you settle on the condo?
