Morning riddlers!

Bernie - where's the answer to the riddle yesterday? I was wracking my brains all day yesterday. Not sure on today's also, will have to go back and look or will accept any clues.

Gail - are you feeling better yet? Good Luck to your son. I started playing saxophone in 4th all the way to 12th. It was a lot of fun. Not as loud as drums though.

Lars - congrats on those golden britches.

Diane - the house is coming together beautifully. Congrats to Duffy also!

The digger for our pool is supposed to come tomorrow, and what is in the forecast....Rain!!:(

Hiya, Lorraine! I PM'd a guess in to Elaine - I'll let her spill the beans on Yesterday's! (Hopefully I've earned some pants too!) :)

Glad to hear the pool guys are getting going, Lorraine! :)

SB:

I would have pm'd you a hint, but I was LOST too...fortunately the answer CAME Later.

Happy Tuesday, all! Welcome back Bernie!

Marsha, looking forward to pictures of your new home. Hope everything is stress free for you real soon!

Diane - congrats to Duffy!

Gail, our instrumental program begins in 4th grade. We don't have a strings program. Percussionists don't start until 5th grade, but there are no restrictions on them. Students can also join the band at the beginning of 5th and 6th grade. Good luck to Matt - I think private lessons is a good suggestion, too.

We had a good weekend at the cottage. I got stuck in a huge mud puddle on the quad and had to get pulled out. :o After I made it out of there, I had to ride straight through 2 or 3 more huge puddles to get out of the trails we were riding. Needless to say, I had a ton of muddy laundry to do when we got back yesterday...

Hope everyone has a great day!

I had kind of a rude awakening last night.....

We all got to bed early, the girls were tired from travelling and Sharon and I were tired from our big camping weekend.

The phone rang at 1 am. Now, I don't know about you, but when the phone rings at that time of day, it wakes me up fully, immediately - I figure it can't be good news.

I dashed downstairs to answer it....

"Hello?" I ask.

"Who is this?" The voice on the phone asks.....

Huh?

"Wait - you call me at one in the morning and ask 'Who is this?'"....I'm more than a little irritated.

"Well you called my husband's cell phone at 10", she says.

I let her know that nobody called her hubby from our house. Matthew is working and isn't home yet - so I know he didn't call.

"I wanna know how this is", she's still on about that.

"Lady - don't call here again". *Click*

Ten minutes later - it's her again.

"YOU'RE BEING A NUISANCE! - STOP CALLING HERE!!!"

A half hour later, she calls again.

I pick it up and hang it up.

Then she starts with the one-ring calls.

Cheesh.

So I call for help and find that there's not a whole lot they can do at that time of day. The suggest I dial *69, but I don't want to get into a dialogue with her.

I did get a number to call to report her as a nuisance caller. I'll be calling there today.

I ended up unplugging the phones........

Cheesh - how rude!

Just wandered over to the Dillwood B&B! The rooms are just lovely! And the decor suggests the herb ..... parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme!

I wonder if Simon and Garfunkel wafts through the house on summer days????? :)

I do have the "official" notice that DD brought home......there's no restriction to starting percussion in 5th......but no mention of letting anyone start anything in 6th.....it's almost if he didn't last year he's out of luck. I'll keep you posted!

Gail, I don't think listening to a percussion student is any worse than any other beginning musician, and maybe a bit better since they can't be out of tune!

I sometimes have to grit my teeth the first few weeks with a new saxophone student! The flutes and clarinets don't bother me so much, but beginning sax played out of tune is like chalk on a blackboard for me!

I'll throw out yesterday's riddle now:

What has a hump, is brown, and lives at the North Pole?

A lost camel

I will admit I did take anything with camel and especially if Santa (Rudolph) was involved :p

Here are some yesterpants:

I was a little worried about being able to pull the camper out of our camp site. It was VERY muddy there! Thankfully it came out pretty easily. We had to pull it out before loading it up though. I don't think it would have come out otherwise!

We've got a bunch of muddy laundry too, LK - I'll see you in the laundry room! :)

Why do I NOT imagine a charming oldkicker at 1am????

growl.....growl....growl......

Uh......Bernie......perhaps this was her way of getting you to NOTICE her!

Gina ducks for cover and heads for the hills.....WITHOUT her cell phone......

Around here, she could be prosecuted for stalking. I think I might "accidentally" hit redial on her caller ID number about 2 AM tomorrow!;)

Hey, Elaine......a tired Rudolph also did the trick as I recall!!!!

(or was it one of the many other ridiculous answers I pm-ed you with???)

Hey! I got SMARTY PANTS!!!! :) :)

Elaine - how was John Con????

Gina - I have no clue who she was and I did manage to keep a civil tongue in my mouth!! Thankfully I was able to fall back to sleep too!!!

She did have my undivided attention!
