Morning Riddlers!

I still don't get the riddle from yesterday, and I seem to be w/o a Woo Hoo a lot lately. Today's riddle causes thinking which I am not up to.

Diane - that is great news about your old house! I don't think I would like animals having free roam in my new house though. Do they make a mess when they are inside?

Gail - great news about Matt's team. Will send good luck tomorrow!

OK must have been inspired by one of those "curiously strong mints" ... lol
As for me, it's too early and I don't feel "fresh or minty".
I'll skip the mint and go straight for the espresso ....

I have to share another Kasie story with you ... lol ... this past weekend as she was playing with all of her Little People and farm animals, she kept saying "actually", as in they should actually be here or there.
It was the first time I heard her build sentences like that, and made her sound adorable and older at the same time.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry since she sounded so funny ... and yet older ...
Oh well, they don't stay young very long do they?
Next thing you know she'll be telling me to let her use the car...

Cute story Rob! They sure do grow up quickly. I enjoy pulling out the old videos every now and then to look at them when they were little toddlers.

Thank goodness I am not the only riddler who is still a little bit puzzled over yesterday's riddle. Does it mean that they will share in the $$? I need to think a little bit more on today's riddle, too.

Good morning all! I really shouldn't be here since I have so many cakes to bake today, but I'm hoping for WooHoo to start my day of right!

My nephew is getting married on Saturday, and I'm doing the wedding cake for them as their wedding present. I'm beginning to think that I should have just gone to the local store and bought them something! It certainly would have been easier on my nerves, and probably cheaper too! Since I have to work tonight and tomorrow during the day, and then tomorrow night I have to help out on Waterfront duty since one of the other women can't be there, I'm running short on time to get this done.

Diane, that's great news about your house! Good luck on Friday!

Congrats to Matt and his team! I'll send good vibes for tomorrow's game!

Rob - Treasure those moments. The sound of a child's voice is so sweet when they are little. I love listening to my DD's voice on videos from when she was little.

The key to yesterday's riddle is this line....
"The one whose camel is slower will win" If they switch camels, then each is one the other's camel and they will want that other camel to come in second. So they will beat feet to get the camel they are on (the other's camel) in first!

Yikes, Elaine! It sounds like there must be an underlying issue with your power - I hope it gets resolved soon!

Morning all - back home after a few days away

Made the mistake of riding a new roller coaster - Superman the other day - you start off in an upright position - and before the ride starts - they flip you down facing the ground - Kara is still teasing me about what the first words that came out of my mouth - came off the ride rather green around the gills too

Marla - I've found that water usually makes me feel worse! (Unless I splash cold water on my face!)

Yeehaw!!!! (I used to woohoo, but now that's too confusing!) I got Woo HOo!!!

The first batch of cakes is in the oven, so I have a little while, before I have to do it all again! Hopefully there won't be any mishaps to slow me down. The cake consists of 7", 10" and 14" rounds, which I have to bake 2 of in order to get them the right height. I also have to bake a slab cake because the wedding cake proper isn't going to serve enough people. If I have time, I hope to paint a streetcar on the slab cake for my nephew. He's always been a HUGE fan of streetcars and finally a couple of years ago he got his dream job of driving one! They are going to the Czech (sp?) Republic for their honeymoon, partly because there are streetcars there!

Marla, try Bonine or Gravol for ride induced tummy troubles!

Kathy - the only streetcars I've ever ridden were the ones in San Francisco. Those were VERY cool! We did see the ones in Toronto going by, but didn't have a chance to ride them.

I'll second that recommendation for Bonine. We give some to Katie the night before we travel and it takes care of her car sickness just great!
