Elaine, that sounds like a really nice camera. I've dabbled with photography when I've had time but so far I haven't moved up to digital. My college roommate's dad was a newspaper photographer but all I learned from that association was to stand with my feet in a "T" when posing because it helps your posture!

Quickie MIL story.....when we were getting married mine was complaining that the Mass was too long because she didn't want to have to spend so much time in church.........

I just got into digital 2 years ago and I love it. I take so many pictures that it would cost a small fortune to make prints of all of those!!! I just sort of "outgrew" my camera with the settings I needed. Adding another MP helps too

John, I admit I was looking more for the features where I could change the shutter speed and the f/stop myself. I also can do a manual focus which is very helpful when trying to take a picture of my all black cat She always comes out funny so I am glad to have that

Good morning everyone.

I woke up at 5:42 and could not go back to sleep. AAACCCKKK!!

DH is amazed at me. I used to hate basketball on TV. Then last night I had to stay up and watch the end of the Maryland game because of my picks in the pool. This after learning to watch football 2 years ago when DD started in Marching Band. He is afraid of what might come next.

It is beautiful so far today. The sun is bright. And the soccer game was cancelled because of too much water on the field. Oh well.

Good Morning Everyone!

We went to bed EARLY EARLY last night....like 8:15, and then at 12:00 when the dog jumped on the bed to let me know she wanted "out".....I got up, and DH followed to check on the news.
So sleep was a bit fragmented.....overcast and rainy here today, a good day for naps....or to paint the dining room.......

good to know someone else has family in the broom brigade.
E! Nice pictures, are you really going to sell you other camera? I seriously need to update mine, it's only a 1.3 meg. Maybe what I really need to do is update the printer and see how grainy the pictures are. Has anyone used the digital photo sights for printing pictures? Were you happy?

Good luck today to everyone that has "stuff" going on. Too muddy here...but I'll take mud over snow ANYDAY!!!! off to get my first cup of coffee...........I know...I'm way behind schedule

Morning! I can't believe we are all up so early today. I have a feeling we'll hit 150 soon.

DH has a meeting this morning for Resident Camp for Cub Scouts, DS and DD have Kung Fu at 11, and then I need to get some shopping done for some presents. I think I am going to buy one of those charm bracelets (the cheaper kids version) for a present for a party the kids are going to tomorrow, and maybe get one for my niece for her birthday also. DD needs a nice pair of earrings and a nice necklace with a cross for her First Communion coming up in a few weeks. I saw the mom yesterday who opened up the charm bracelet store in the mall, and I told her I want to have a charm party in a month or two. You are all invited!

I haven't been following the saga of the charms, although I do know what the bracelets are. Is a charm party like a Tupperware or Pampered Chef party?

I guess it is. I went to their kiosk in the mall on Thursday and noticed the sign. Just like Tupperware and Pampered Chef, the host gets discounts for total sales and any parties booked. I figured it would be a nice change of pace from the regular home parties. Since we are all so far from each other, maybe I could also see if I could do an on-line catalog order if anyone else is interested.
