I started reading it a couple days ago. I think it's a good read so far.

Some things I've noticed or learned -

Much like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story", he needs his mouth washed out with soap. :lmao:

Considering all the girls he was with, he's probably lucky all he ended up with were STDs. I'm surprised there aren't 100 Rick Springfields running around or that he didn't contract AIDS.
He's only 4 years older than my dad. :scared1: That makes me ever thinking he was hot kind of gross.

There are photos in the book. With his 1 son there is an especially strong resemblance. I haven't finished the book but I almost think he, Rick, had more work done.

Maybe it says later in the book but I always wonder, when men cheat like he did, and by his own admission it was quite a bit, why does the wife stay? Soul mates? True love? Financial? She herself has cheated?

Anyhow, if you're a Rick Springfield fan , and who growing up in the 80's wasn't, you might find it interesting. :thumbsup2

I have to get that! I loved Rick Springfield in the 80's! His was the first concert I ever went to, when I was 12. lol Wow, I just checked and he's 2 years younger than my dad. That freaks me out a little.

I had known for years about his battle with depression, but had no idea what it apparently drove him to all those years. My sister read it, then gave it to me. She said that she wishes she hadn't since it really changed her opinion of him.

As to why his wife has stayed with him even through the years of infidelity...if you read the entire book, you'll see that they both believe that they are each other's soul mates and cannot imagine a life without the other. I learned a long time ago not to judge others for the decisions they make in their married lives and I'm sure it was not an easy road for her.

It certainly was an interesting read and I learned more than I might have wanted to about him. But I was born in the early 60s and remember scheduling my college classes so they didn't conflict with General Hospital at 3PM so I could watch him as Dr. Noah Drake.

I still love him.

As soon as I read the title of this thread, "I've done everything for you" popped in my head, which means it's on You Tube now DH says thanks:rolleyes1

And Jessie's Girl hit mine. And off to youtube I went:rotfl2:

Haven't read the book yet. Might get around to it when it hits paperback, or I get a Kindle. 1 of those.

He did a several episode cameo as himself on Californication last season. From some of the book descriptions it sounds like he was playing his real life self. He was a very bad boy on the show. And he did look like he aged well and not like he had a bunch of work done.

Why, oh why do celebrities write these tell all books about their sexcapades?! I could have lived my whole life without knowing this stuff.

I loved  Rick Springfield. I so wanted to build him a fan club in my back yard. (I was 9). Not sure if I would want to know every detail of his life though.

Kind of odd to be at an age now that my pop idols/movie star heart throbs are getting old enough for tell alls. It makes me feel old.
