My dh and I are celebrating our 10 year anniv this week. We want to go out Friday night (without the boys! :cool1: ) to a nice restaurant. I'd love some suggestions of a good place to celebrate. Something that would be $100 or less for the two of us.

Anyone?

Do they have any McDonalds there, the Big Macs are outstanding :thumbsup2

I'm sure they have one or two somewhere in the city.... ;)

I was hoping for something to eat that doesn't come in a box or taste how a men's restroom smells. :scared: And if it's going to have a bajillion grams of fat, it'd better be damn good.

There's a CHeescake Factory, Maggiano's Little Italy, The Tobacco Factory, The Melting Pot..

Hands down, no doubt about it go to to Texas De Brazil at Regency Mall.

Food is beyond awesome and so much of it don't eat all day!! It will cost you just about $100 for the two of you, worth every penny.

Call and make reservations by Wednesday or you won't get in.

We are going in 3 weeks for my birthday and I am already drooling!!!

The Melting Pot is one of our favorite chain places to go for special occasions. It's nice and romantic. If you sign up for their Club Fondue they will email you a coupon for a free chocolate fondue almost immediately :thumbsup2

There are tons of great little spots in the Fan we like as well. What types of food do you like?

I have to agree, this place is amazing (as long as you love meat!) My Dh is SO in  w/ this place he may never eat anywhere else again!

If you dont like chains I've heard Julip is excellent. The docs I work with eat out a TON, so if there is a certain style of type of food you favor I can get their input too. (I rarely eat out, w/ two young cubs of my own, but its great to hear them talk about all of the yummy places in Richmond!)

Have fun wherever you go - wow, you must be excited - and tell us all about it afterwards. Congrats!!

I was going to suggest Texas de Brazil as well. I think it will cost more than $100, as it is $42.99 per person before drinks, tax and tip. But if you like meat it is worth it! Reservations can be made online as well.

We also really like Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill at Short Pump Town Center, definitely under $100 there without a problem. They take call ahead seating which is definitely a plus. Their filet mignon and shrimp is delicious, and I love their BLT salad.

We also like the Cheesecake Factory as someone else mentioned. They do not take reservations or call ahead seating so if you are planning on a meal later than 5:30-6pm you are looking at a long wait.

Personally I love the Melting Pot....very romantic and delicious too! There is always the Jefferson downtown, but that might be more than 100.00. Crab Louis in Midlothian is excellent if you like seafood. Carraba's if you like Italian and The Tobacco Company in the Slip.....just to name a few.

Happy anniversary! Have a wonderful night.

Tobacco Factory and she-crab soup......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:cool1: :thumbsup2

Thank you for all of the wonderful suggestions. (I have to agree on the she-crab soup!!! yumm-o!) You guys brought up a bunch of places I hadn't even thought about.

I am sold on Texas de Brazil though! OMG it looks great! I made reservations and that's where we'll be! Dh ate at Fuego de Chow (or however you spell it) recently when he was on business in DC. He loved it so I know he'll love this restaurant too.

Thank you, thank you! And I'll gladly update you guys once we eat there! :)
