I love working out with him. I got the DVD's for Christmas, because I only had the VHS tapes.

It's fun and I just love watching him, I find him very motivating and its fun. I HATE to work out but when I put on him its a lot of fun!

I recently bought these on dvd since we got rid of the vcr player! Hope to get using them soon as I always enjoyed them. MANY years ago my sister and I went and saw Richard "Live" and exercised with him when he opened one of his fitness studios here in MA. It was so much fun!

Does anyone remember when he was on General Hospital?? (I am dating myself here!)

I do every day at work lol. We have to get in some sort of exercise for our MR/DD clients and they all seem to love Richard. We have fun with it and we all get our workout.

I've been looking at some of these on ebay. What are the best ones? I noticed there was one with 80s tunes. Is it any good? I was a child of the 80s and I love 80s music.

No, but I'd love to get Sweatin' To The Oldies on DVD! I adore Richard Simmons--back in the day, I think he was the first person to use real people with real bodies in his videos instead of professional dancers. Now we're used to seeing real bodies on all the reality shows but he was really ground-breaking!

Check Amazon...they have the boxed set for about $33. It contains 4 exercise videos and one, I guess, motivational dvd (haven't watched it yet)

My favorite is still the first with It's My Party, He's a Rebel, Ain't No Mountain High Enough...etc.

Oh I have all three of the first ones in DVD. I used to rotate them so I wouldn't get bored. But now I can't do any exercise like that because I have a rotten ankle that I am not speaking to.

Richard is a hoot in person and so sweet. I met him once and he was so caring to everyone there. I have a picture with him too.

Yes, I have one of his exercise dvds, and it's really fun. It really gets your heart rate going, and makes me work up a sweat.

I guess I'm dating myself too because I remember him on GH. They should bring him back occasionally.

I recently bought the boxed set for myself, but haven't made it through all of them yet. I think his tapes are so much more fun than a lot of others than I have seen.
