I want to surprise my DH with this as a gift when we return to WDW for our 10th anniversary. But all I can do within the budget is the ride-along. Is this a waste of $100 for an adult? Obviously, I know that driving on your own would be better. But is this worth it or... maybe I should look into parasailing instead...?

I did the ride along in Dec. I thought it was great. I had no desire to drive just wanted to see what 140 mph felt like in the car. I thing the speedway is closing down like in June. Also have did the parasailing on different trip. It was great too. Either experience I'm sure your DH will like!

Always wanted to but never did. I would have done the ride-along. Seems that would have been faster than me driving. Just my opinion

I did the ride along several years ago when they were giving passholders a free ride along during February that year.It was cool but I don't think I would have paid that much to do it on my own.I'm still glad I did it.
