Rich/Poor

Rich/Poor

  • I consider myself rich in VMK.

  • I consider myself poor in VMK and it bothers me.

  • I consider myself poor in VMK, but I do not care.

  • I do not consider myself either rich or poor.

  • I just think the whole rich/poor thing is silly and out of control.

This is just a question, not a rant. I do not care how other people classify themselves in VMK, but for me, I find the rich/poor thing kind of silly.

The stuff is not real and I think rich and poor is in the eye of the onlooker or owner, not really a true classification.

I am curious how others see it. I added 5 options to the poll if you do not mind voting and posting your opinion.

I consider myself rich just because I've been playing for a little more than a year and have amassed quite a bit of stuff.

But I don't believe I'm better than the person that started six months ago.

So, I believe you should add an option: "I consider myself rich, but I don't care."

I voted the last one, but I agree with this bolded statement completely. Technically, as far as VMK stuff goes, I am richer than some people and poorer than others. But to me, it is all just virtual stuff so I don't really care.

I agree with Pirate, I mean, to some people I'm rich because I have items they don't, while to others they could consider me poor because I don't have inferno, stitch or green flips lol. I chose the option I don't consider myself to be either. But if there was an option: "I consider myself rich, but don't care" like Pirate suggested, I would probably vote in that category.

I've been on vmk for over a year possibly even two (I've lost track!).

I may have a lot of things and some consider me rich..

But I think the whole rich/ poor thing is extremely silly.. It's just a bunch of pixels.

I think the whole concept is arbitrary. Who's judging whether or not I'm rich? Guest1234567, or someone with stitch, sparrow and inferno? I voted that I don't consider myself either rich or poor.

I really don't believe in the whole ' rich/poor ' thing because the things in VMK are virtual items, not real items.

I really dont care if Im rich or poor...:upsidedow

The thing I don't get is why people determine someone's wealth by the amount of rare things they have. If anything, shouldn't it be on the amount of credits? If it was that, I would be in the VMK Soup Kitchen! :lmao:

I agree! I have more items than credits!

If it was based on credits I would consider myself rich but this is only because I play the games a lot. Afterall playing vmk is just for fun. I find the whole rich and poor thing silly it makes others seem less inferior to others.
I believe vmk is not to split into groups of rich people and poor people but to actually enjoy ourselves and share the magic of Disney.

:wizard:

i consider myself rich cause i've been playing for a few years now and i have alot of rare stuff but i guess it depends who is the onlooker but i don't really care if i'm rich or poor

I don't consider myself either rich or poor. I have a lot of nice rare, but I don't really have any of the "coveted" items like Sparrow, Stitch, Inferno, Eye pin. Plus, I only have one of most of the nicer rare that I have, so I'll never trade it anyway.

me too. most of the time I don't trade my rare unless I have more than one of the items.

It is interesting to see how everybody feels about this.

My opinion is, what you virtually own is in no way a representation of the kind of person you are or even who you are on VMK.

Take scammers for example, they may have a lot in VMK, but they are the lowest kind of character. So, value of items has nothing to do with value of person. :)

Rich and poor shouldn't really matter. Everyone is different. Some people have played since the beginning and don't have much; some people have just started and got into trading and everything.
I think that nothing in the gaem really matters, as long as you respect the VMK Values. You could've been rich, but maybe you did something wrong and got banned?
~~That wasn't confusing, right?

::yes:: ::yes:: I agree completely.

i would say i am really poor because i know all these ppl who have tons of credits i can only get to like 3K and then they are all gone because i buy all of the new things lol. I just cant seem to get more then 5K it makes me mad.

Don't worry, I have the same problem. OCSD (Obsessive-compulsive spending disorder). The most I've ever had was 26,000, and what did I do with it? I bought a kiosk. :rotfl2: :sad2:
