Does anyone know if they have rice crispy treats on board for free? Like maybe a dessert on the buffet or something.

I was looking at the in room celebration stuff today and noticed you can order a box of 7 rice crispy treats ahead of time. I'm considering ordering it since the rice crispy treats were DS favorite's snack on our recent DLR trip but I don't want to order them if they are served on board somewhere for free. We don't cruise until January so I have time to make up my mind. I just wondered if anyone on here knew.

The only place I've seen them for "free" was during the Gold/Platinum Castaway Club reception. Time was that they had them in the Castaway Club returning cruise gift, but that's long gone.

Not sure if you are concierge or not, but they had them. Chocolate dipped-yummy. I did not see them otherwise, for free.

I had this exact same question! Thanks for asking it! And I was looking at that same treat delivery.

We have always had them available (both chocolate dipped and not) at the concierge receptions. I have never seen them anywhere else on the ship.

They sell things like that on the gift shop. And all over WDW and the airport if you are passing through there.

Were these in the concierge lounge or in a place available to all cruisers?

Of course he won't disclose in his post where he got them. He would rather direct people to his trip report to increase how many times it has been viewed.

I believe they are not free onboard except through the Concierge Lounge or other ways through Concierge or at the return cruiser party.

Not true, the reason why I said that is the full details were there and I couldn't find the photos it's one in 5000 photos, but post what you want, even if untrue....

I should report this post, but I won't. .

Answer. Room service, if you ask nicely.

We were offered them there as well. And embarkation meet in Keys.

That may be a "your mileage may vary" situation -- others have not received rice krispie treats from Room Service. I suspect your concierge status got you some pixie dust.

OP -- I believe the best response is: Don't expect any to be available for free onboard. If so, consider it a bonus. :yay:

Enjoy your cruise!

Then why the be so vague to begin with? It is a lot more helpful when someone asks a question to answer it rather than to direct them to a trip report that is pages long full of posts and pictures. I'm not being snarky, rude, etc. I'm being serious. I'd rather get an answer than be redirected somewhere that has nothing to do with what I'm asking.

I am happy to hear that they are offered under in room gifts. I think that's new. We cruised on the Dream and I read on the boards that you could ask for Rice Krispie treats from room service. When we sailed I tried it and they said they didn't have any.

One particular Castaway reception, there were no other children. The CM gave ALL her left over Mickey Rice Crispy treats to my 3 kids (maybe 20?) They gave them to their teachers and friends when we got home. Just a little pixie dust for us (that I never get!)

Hijack post: Bree, we're on the same cruise! I'm so excited!!

Thanks everyone for the answer. We are not concierge. I didn't really expect them to offered for free anywhere but it's nice to know for sure. I'll probably end up ordering the treat basket for our room if it's still offered once we get a little closer. 7 rice crispy treats for $25 really isn't that bad.

I had the Mickey Head ones free and not from the castaway club meeting.

On the Magic last month, photos in my trip report.

But, don't you only sail concierge? This probably does not apply to the peasants like myself of deck two. hahaha!

We got one for doing the Frozen chocolate chase on the WBPC, but I SEARCHED for them and only found them at the stores and on the chocolate buffet night and they were plain...but again it was on a longer cruise.

on our last b2b we called room service and got them daily, num num num. they even asked which ones we wanted, chocolate coated or plain. on our last cruise however, I called room service and was told no, they were for sale if I would like one just stop in to the shops.
neither cruise was concierge and I don't have a trip report with a picture (lol). we're certainly not special. I wonder if the difference was the fact I was doing a fantasy b2b or if they just changed policy after the fact. not really sure but it doesn't hurt to ask.
