how are things down there? I saw the Warwick mall practically underwater the other day on the news!!
haven't really watched the news yesterday or today.
hope its better!

I-95 reopened yesterday.

Definately better here. Lots of places are still flooded, and the mall will be closed for at least 2 months.

The Airport Connector, going into TF Green (PVD) is reopened as of today as well.

DD drove past the Warwick Mall on 295 today and said there was very little water in the parking lot.

It's shocking to see the damage and hear the stories from the last few days on the news and in the newspapers. Living further north, we had random areas of flooding, but nothing like that that I know of. We're still drying out our basement (about an inch of water), and it smells musty, which I hope is gone by Sunday. But I just feel very VERY lucky.

We live in the hardest hit area of Cranston and we had a breech in our foundation which has caused a rush of water to pour in since Tuesday morning and we are still pumping away. I had to call 911 at one point because my DH was traveling and trying to make it home on an earlier flight, I'm 5 months pregnant and I was home alone with my 2 yr old. I had 2 ft of water and it was rising rapidly. We are in certainly not as bad as some people and for that I am grateful but we can't really assess the damage until the water is gone.....

I live in Warwick, right down the street from PVD.

No water in our basement, but my dance studio's parking lot flooded. You've seen pictures of Shaw's on Warwick Ave? That's pretty much what it's like over there.

I think my school (Pilgrim) got it pretty bad; our roof leaks when it's barely raining, so I can't imagine what a full-on flood would do to it.
