I was looking at the Busch Gardens site and they have a ride titled Rhino Rally. It looks really frightening at the end when the Land Rover appears to go over the falls. What exactly happens? I want someone to tell me and I do not want any surprises. My husband and son are trying to talk me into going on it but I am not a roller coster or drop person. Are there any drops on this and can you compare it to any other ride in the other Orlando theme parks.

you will love it ....

it is a very controlled breakaway ......and you seem to float on the river until the driver "miraculously" gets your tour vehicle back on terra firma

no "drops"

it is sorta like "sarfari" at AK ( you see animals on the savannah ) but not as long and the vehicles are smaller.... hold about 20 or so people

Right......... not scary at all, no drops, nothing like that..... they just want you to think its scary. In fact, we're AP holders for BG and SW, and have been too many times to count, and we've only been on Rhino Rally ONCE when it was not "broken" and we're able to go in the water!!!!!!! But, don't worry it is very TAME!!! you will laugh at yourself for being scared.......... but I know how you feel, I won't do drop rides or coasters either!!!!!:D

Just to add what the others have already said and assure you even more, nothing scary about this ride. :) No drops, doesn't go fast, a little bumpy at times but that's about it.

When you go to get on the ride see if your son can be the Navigator, he might enjoy that. He'd get to sit up front with the driver. :)

The scariest thing about this ride is the amount of time you spend standing in line to ride it!! ;) ;)

I echo what everyone else has said. this ride is not scary at all. It is very much like the AK Safari ride, except the "storyline" behind this ride is that you are on a racecourse through the savanna. The trucks do not move that fast, and there are no drops. The truck sort of parks on a bridge and these big floating things are attached to the sides of the truck so that it can float through the water (think pontoon boat) then you drive back out of the water again.

I think this ride experiences a lot of technical difficulties because I have been many times when they are only able to run one side of the course and can only send out 2 trucks at a time, and they "skip" the water part. This makes for a VERY long wait in line. A much longer wait than even the top roller coasters at BG.

Loved the comment about waiting in line being the scariest part! LOL So true, I rode it the day it opened officially and I think we waited almost 2 hours. So not worth it!
