RFID mugs at parks

When the RFID mugs first came out and were being tested, I had read that there was talk of guest's being able to get refills at the parks for a small fee, like $.99. Is there any truth to that or any idea when that may become available?

Nope. Just refillable at the resorts. I haven't seen any talk of them being in the parks.

I can't see Disney doing this. First, you get a drink with your dining plan meals. Second, if you want more drinks or are paying OOP for drinks at the parks, the cost runs $2.59-$2.89. Why would Disney sell drinks for $.99. Third, this could start a refillable mug black market and pathway for transmission of sickness. Fourth, somebody's mug with their germs on it can't be re-filled at a restaurant by employees. Against health codes. (Makes me wonder how refilling one's used mug at self-serve beverage stations affects sanitation...)

No, they don't work at the parks. Not at this time anyway. Nothing is out there anywhere about potentially using them at the parks.

Refill mug come with a hard plastic lid that is removed for filling the mug. There is also a wash station near by.
