Reward Points: Shopping Online

Before joining Rewards Programs, I hardly shopped online. Now I'm looking to shop online every chance I get! Like, "Oh I need to get a gift certificate for a birthday, I'll buy it online so I can get points!." (This is my line of thinking now.)

My husband shops online fequently so now he'll come to me and see if I can buy what he wants thru my points program. Then I get what I want, the points, and he get's his item.

However though, I'm never one to just buy something I don't need! No matter how many points it's worth!

How about you? Has your online shopping increased to get points? Have you ever just bought an item you didn't need, but only purchased it for the points? Just curious....

I shop online for the variety, speed and convenience AND the points! I hate the mall and nothing beats shopping anytime while earning points and bonuses.

I have bought a few things (Tupperware--remember the swizzle sticks?, a pen from Avon) that I didn't really need to get the points.

I have been shopping online for years, but, now, yes, I do check to see if I can buy something online before buying it in the store. But only if the price is right.

My new favorite thing to do is order Amazon GCs from Giftcertificates.com through Club Mom. Then I use the GCs to buy diapers and formula, shipped free, at prices cheaper than WalMart and Target. Then I cashin my ClubMom points to get ToysRUs giftcards. So not only am I saving money, I'm making money. And I'm probably saving even more money because I'm not running around the B&M store throwing extra stuff into my cart that I don't really need.

I've also bought things from CircuitCity.com through a rewards site and then picked the item up at the store.

DH is better now about asking if he can get points somewhere (after the time he ordered my anniversary gift from Joann.com and didn't go through a reward site--"Thanks for the surprise quilting software, honey, but you could have gotten 4% back at eBates!") before buying something online.
