Reward Card and Rainforest

Can you use the disney rewards card for the restaurants that are not on the dining plan, like Rainforest? TIA

They did not accept my rewards card last December. They said it was because they aren't owned by Disney.

We ran into this last year at Rainforest and Planet Hollywood. So we just put the dining charges on our room charge and then used the reward card to pay off the room account at the end of our visit. Worked like a charm!

If you are planning on dining at Rainforest, be certain to get the Rainforest Safari club card. It entitles you to priority seating at any Landry's restaurant (Joe's Crab Shack, etc.) , and a free appetizer or 10% off at each meal at any Landry's restaurant. It costs $15 to join, I think, but they give you a ten dollar coupon soon after you join, and another $5 one for your birthday. I would sign up for the card about eight weeks before you go to Florida, if you want to get the coupon first. I think the priority seating alone pays for itself within a few trips...

There is an 800 number to call, but it looks like you might have to go to a Rainforest Cafe in person to join.
