Hmmmmm..... I assumed that Randall snuck in and programmed them once he got into the Tower. He didn't need the power on to use the systems within the Tower since the Tower always had power. However, the missiles could not be launched until the power was restored world-wide.

Interesting question.

Loved the episode. Loved the twist at the end. Felt bad for the cunundrum that Aaron was in. LOVED the ironic twist to where the new capitol was.

As for the president, is it the same president that was in office when the lights went out, or have they maintained the Constitution and had the regularly scheduled elections? If it was the same president, how/why did he exploit the "back door" in the tower's OS?

And, if Flynn really wanted to clear the way, why didn't he also send rockets to the Plains Nation, Texas and Governor Affleck's California?

I'm still watching, but didn't realize they were back from the mid-season break yet so I missed this week. Thanks for the heads-up! I don't watch enough TV to notice when things start up so who knows how much I'd have missed if I hadn't seen the notification on this thread.

I'm curious about that as well......the show is full of twists and turns and the unexpected, always a surprise (but we enjoy the "one liners" as well )

We completely forgot about it starting, but then we were more concerned about Tex Jr. getting his car totaled in a 70mph wreck on IH 35. (He's fine, but he needs a new car now.) I hope the DVR recorded it.

So, now we know what was in those oranges... I thought it was very interesting that Truman didn't seem to be in the loop. Unless he's a superb liar he seemed genuinely concerned about the outbreak and unaware that it was engineered. Between that and what Jason tried to tell his parents about the file he stole, the Patriots just get worse with every episode.

I LOVE the casting of Monroe's son. You knew it was him the minute he appeared, they look enough alike, and he isn't too hard on the eyes either.
