Reviews on Soarin

I get scared in ferris wheels. I think it's because I have no security device holding me.

Should I skip it? But then again, I do ToT. Maybe the seat belt will allow me not to be scared.

I hate ferris wheels too and am not a fan of simulator rides like Star Tours & Back to the Future. But I loved Soarin'! It's very gentle and you don't feel like you are going to fall out. We were there last Thursday and the standby was 110 minutes around 3:00, we had a fastpass. It's a great ride but I don't know about 110 minutes.... Definitely get a fastpass first thing. We got one around 9:40 for 10:50, got off around 11:15 and grabbed another one for 2:30. When we got there for the second ride, the fastpasses were gone for the day.

IMHO- Soarin is the best ride in all of WDW. I have ridden it 4 times now and love the experience I have each time. I will recommend sitting in the Center section and on the front row. The view is amazing and really makes you feel like you are there. When we sat on the side, it was still an awesome ride but I could see the sides and it took away from the ride some.

We think it is a fabulous ride. I am very motion sick and it didn't bother me at all. The special effects are incredible and every time you ride it you notice a bit more. I think it is Disney magic at it's best.

I hate rollercoaster of any kind. I am just not a thrill seeker. Should I skip this ride?

This ride is a must!!! It was one of my favorite rides on our trip in March.. Definitely get a fast pass as this one is quite busy.. Get on front row if possible.. we lucked out and got on the front row and it was awesome.. :thumbsup2

No. Don't skip it. Try it once. It's gentle motion throughout the ride. The lift into position is swift and it can startle you. But just lean back in your seat and take a deep breath or two and relax. The show starts of with a bang of music and the opening scene will knock your socks off. The apparatus immediately banks right at opening scene and the movement into position never really stops before that bank occurs. It's smooth sailin from there though. It's beautifully done and it really is a whistle stop tour of a California that you may not see all the time and many never see.

I like it, but I don't love it. However, my daughter, 21, thinks it's one of the best rides at Disney. I agree about getting a fastpass. The first year we didn't and the wait was over an hour.

DH and I rode it 8 times on our trip last November!!! Looking forward to riding it again this November.
