We're going to try and book the illuminations dinner for early december for our party of 16, and I promise an exhaustively detailed report when we get back.

Some questions I still want answered:

1. What characters were there? - Minnie & Goofy

2. Do you get commemorative pins? Yes. Our server even gave us extra

3. Can you SIT for the illuminations show? No

4. What time does the dinner start, is there time in between dinner and illuminations, etc. We had to check-in at 7:15pm, dinner started shortly after we were seated and with all the entertainment and pictures afterwards with Minnie and Goofy there wasn't much time before Illuminations started. If you skipped pictures and got to the viewing area literally just before Illuminations it was probably 30 minutes. But you need time to pick out your dessert and drinks before Illumination starts.

I'll answer them and any others you have.

In regards to the characters, Minnie and Goofy were there for us, I have no idea if it changes.

I'm having to rethink it, though, we have some elderly people in our party who I don't think could stand for all of illuminations, yet would kneecap me if I suggested wheelchairs...

Please tell me more about this. I am going next June with 6 ( so far) and would love to do this. How much and do we book it thru regular disney dinning?
