We have a PS for lunch at Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki in Japan at Epcot. We've been to Benihana's, so I know what the whole watching the chef thing at the grill is all about. Any reviews of the experiance and the food would be greatly appreciated! :wave2:

I'd like to hear too! We have CP package ressies for day after C-mas with our 1 year-old, so any advice would be great for us, too.

My family and I ate there May 2003 and it was great. We really enjoyed it. It was our first time eating this type of meal (where they cook in front of you).

Two thumbs up!

We visit there at least once each trip, often more than once. I like lunch better than dinner, the prices are lower for the same meal experience and it is a nice break from the day.

As for the food, DH loves the Lobster/Shrimp/Scallops meal, things we don't normally have because of my allergies. I love their steak. I've tried the steak and chicken combo, but I would rather just have steak. The chicken is okay, but does not absorb as much of the flavors as other items do. There isn't time.

My kids however LOVE the chicken. If you have them (and they are with you) don't hesitate to order Donald's entree. The chicken is the same as the other meal, but they use some more familiar frozen veggies, as well as giving them a bit of the "adult" veggie offerings. For my kids that was great, they love peas and carrots, and found out they like green beans too. The price is about 1/2 of what the other chicken entree for kids was, and enough food that my very hungry 2 & 4 year olds had plenty to eat even sharing it.

We ate on our 1/02 trip - we were going to eat there while on our honeymoon but we heard that they had made some new changes not for the better.

I would say IF you have never been to a restaurant like this then I would say go and try it - if you have eaten at benihanna's it is similar but I think not quite as good. But now with the changes it is not as good of a deal it used to be.

I could be wrong but I remember the meals came with veggies, a salad, and rice - Friends of ours just returned and said they had to pay to get the salad as it was no longer included.

Lillykat you are right on. I love the Teppanyaki room but we were a little disappointed on our last visit because they no longer serve salad and soup with your meal. Now it's just plain rice, whatever you order, and there are still veggies. Still though, the meat and seafood were very tender and tasty. It's still one of our favorites!

Thanks! Actually, I find that soup, salad, rice and the entree tend to be too much food for me, anyway so maybe cutting back on the soup and salad is a good thing!

Thanks again!

we enjoyed our dinner here last month. nothing extraordinary - good meal, entertaining chef, slightly overpriced

if you have the CP package do you get salad and soup? If not I will change my ressie....
