Just back from the world, had a fantastic time eating and drinking.

We (hubby and I) enjoyed the Food and Wine Festival very much. We stayed at the Boardwalk, so we spent quite a bit of time at Epcot. I am not a vegetarian, but my daughter is, so I am ver familiar with vegan/vegetarian dishes. By far, my favorite dishes of the festival were vegetarian or vegan. The hummus fries from Morocco, the vegan nachos from Greece, and the spinach ravioli from The Chew were all very, very, good. I feel like when a dish doesn't rely on meat for flavor, it has to try a little harder flavor wise. We had dishes from almost every country, so if you have a specific question, feel free to ask me. Chances are, we had it. Non veggie dishes that were standouts, were the piggy wings at the brewery place, Mac and cheese and chicken and dumplings from Farm Fresh, and the pork dish from the carribean booth.

On the whole, I found the drinks too sugary and too weak for the prices. I ended up drinking champagne a lot, bacause, at least I know what I'm getting with that. The hard pear cider at Farm Fresh was a delicious surprise. And I enjoy the frozen vodka lemonade in France but you can get that year round. Again, any questions please ask!

At MK we ate at BOG for breakfast and CHH for lunch. We had a PPO for BOG, and for me, it was worth every penny. The actual restaurant is stunning and I'm a huge Beauty and the Beast fan. I actually thought I would eat in the west wing, but I preferred the main ballroom more. The west wing was crowded and the thunder was actually very loud. The opened the music box room right before we left, and I was able to get pictures in there also. The food was good. It seems silly to me to complain about the prices, you know exactly what you are getting and exactly what it costs. Of course there are no eggs that are worth 25 bucks. But to me, the food was good and the atmosphere was stunning. We were able to get in line and basically walk on to the Mine train ride, before 9 Pam park opening. This was the only time we were able to ride it, as I could not get a FP for it, and every time we walked by it was a very long wait. Remember to pre order your food before you go. I'm guessing this saved us at least a half hour in line.

CHH was good. I had the tuna sanwhich and it was very tasty. We sat upstairs with a view of the walkway by the haunted mansion. Very cute place.

We ate at Yak and Yeti for lunch on our AK day. Very yummy. We were able to be seated 1/2 earlier than our adr even though it was quite busy. I had the honey chicken and we shared the dim sum basket for two as an appetizer. Hubby got the chicken teriyaki. All very yummy. I also had the pink Himalayan which I enjoyed.

The Star Wars Desset party was as expected. I don't enjoy sweets, but what I tried was good. The drinks were way too sweet. I asked for just vodka, which I added water and a tiny bit of some drink they had out. You are really paying for the viewing area which I was fine with I hate waiting for shows any longer than I have to. I did meet chewbacca which was a huge highlight for me, but you can do that whenever. The show was phenomenal and being walked out by the storm troopers was very cool. Happy to answer any questions.

Ate at the bar at Bluezoo. Decent food, and the strongest drinks I had all vacation. Good bartenders.

On the Boardwalk ate at ESPN Club, fine food and drinks, and Flying Fish which was ok. We sat at the bar and the service was great. This was after our monorail pub crawl, so my opinion of the food may be skewed. We had a tuna appetizer and the crab bisque. These were both fine but not outstanding in my opinion.

On the Boardwalk, we also tried the pizza window and the margarita place. Both good for what they are. The supreme pizza was actually very good. The Abracadabar was very cool. Good bartenders, drinks were decent strength. The Disney app said they opened at 4pm but they actually opened at 2pm. We only went on our last day, but would have gone more if we had known the actual hours, as we were around the Boardwalk at that time quite a bit.

For our monorail pub crawl - Trader Sams - very cool atmosphere, will definitely go back, so fun! The drinks are all fruity, but what can you expect? Citricos bar at the GF. Good service. I finally wisened up and ordered my standard home drink, vodka soda lemon. Average strength. Food was very good. We ordered the charcuterie plate and flatbread to share. Both were excellent. California Grill at CR. Ehhh. Not impressed. To start, I absolutely hate the look and feel of this resort. We were able to walk up to a seat at the bar. I find the elevator thing stupid and pretentious. The guests here seemed to be the most obnoxious we encountered all week. The bartender was grouchy and actually commented on how low a tip was. We sit at bars everywhere we go, my son is a bartender, and this place did not cut it in any way except view. Which was gorgeous. We were going to order food, but the bartender was so off putting we left after one drink and got an Uber to the Flying Fish.

We finally got into the bar in the Mexican pavilion. Not sure why there is such a huge wait for this place, but we enjoyed it. The avocado margarita was good but very filling. It was a fun place and I would return but not with a long wait.

The only ADRs I made were BOG and Yak and Yeti. I hate being tied down to an eating schedule. We were able to eat last minute everywhere by mostly sitting at the bar which I prefer. Please feel free to ask any questions. We loved this trip to the world!!

Great - some reviews of places we are eating at in January! We are doing the BOG breakfast, and like you, we know the food won't be worth the money but we want to see the Beast's castle. I changed our ADR to 10:25 instead of the original 9:20, and I'm hoping to snag a FP for 7DMT before breakfast.

We also have ADR for Yak & Yeti, and I am looking forward to that, not only for the tasty food, but for the beautiful setting. Thanks for your reviews - your cocktail crawl sounds like a blast!
