4/5 ASMo food court. Not many choices here. We were starving from the 7 hour drive down. My Dh had some sort of roast beef, mashed potatoes, and and string beans. He said it was good. My DD had a grilled cheese, which we ordered promptly then after waiting for 5 minutes the CM asked what we were waiting for...then they made the sandwich. I had chicken nuggets...they are, in fact, the same as the chicken fingers only round. My DS had the burger and he said it was okay. Later, that night we had a pepperoni pizza (16.99 or so)that we took back to the room, the sauce was runny and the crust was borderline disgusting.

Crystal Palace
This is the first of ONLY two must do's that we have for our trip in the fall. This breakfast was great. We were the 4th family seated and the food was piping hot and not yet picked over! We loved the breakfast lasagna, puffed french toast, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the sausage was delicious!!! You could get made to order omelets but we didn't have that kind of time. The characters were great...we love piglet:lovestruc ! Total=$72 with DDE

Boma
I was kind of disappointed because of all the hype Boma receives here. Having had authentic african food this just didn't measure up. There were not a lot of choices, and we just weren't feeling it we wished we had stayed at the hotel and grabbed a steak at Concourse. I feel the need to mention the zebra domes...all of my research didn't uncover that they were not chocolate! I didn't really enjoy them.:sad1: I am an adventurous eater, and I routinely make coconut curry dishes at home, thai food, etc. it just wasn't great.
Menu choices enjoyed: carving station (esp. pork) and chocolate crisp mousse
Menu choices not enjoyed: coconut curry seafood stew (too sweet), couscous, watermelon rind salad, some sort of curried pasta salad, zebra domes.
Total =$105.00 with DDE

Breakfast at Tempo grab and go...Kids enjoyed pastries and donuts, and my husband had a breakfast croissant sandwich that he said was delicious. I had oatmeal. It was fine we had to get to RD at Epcot!

We had a busy morning, riding soarin 2xs, TT, and MS and some other stuff...Lunch we found ourselves starving while in Mexico, so we had Lunch with no ressies at San Angel Inn. We were seated immediately at about noon. We ordered a kids quesadilla (has cheese and chicken on it), and two orders of tacos to share. They gave us 2 chicken and 4 beef. They were delicious! We should have ordered take out but the line was too long. Total cost = 49.00 with DDE.
Next up was Norway where we enjoyed a cloudberry horn! Thanks diser's this was a great find. As my DS and I say light, fluffy and crispy, cloudberry horns are history!:rotfl:
On our way back from Norway we stopped in Mexico for a delicious margarita. Perfect on a hot day!

Breakfast at Kona Cafe
DD had the mickey pancake which she ate most of it! DH had the big Kahuna which I'm not sure if they messed his pancakes up but they didn't have macadamia nuts in them.:confused3 DS and myself had the Macadamia Pancakes with the pineapple on the side, they were delish! We did enjoy them...later on in the week I was very glad I ordered those pancakes instead of the tonga toast...but more on that later! We had a pressed pot coffee which was excellent, and a mixed juice (forgot what its called). The waitress was nice and brought it to us in 2 glasses since we were sharing it! Service was good, and the food was great. We will probably return here next trip...but its not a must-do;)
Total with DDE approx~ $55.00

Dinner at Raglan Road
I was looking forward to this meal immensely. We waited about 10 min to be seated and we had a great waiter from Boston. We ordered the Scallop forests for our appetizer. This dish was amazing! Then again, how can you mess up scallops???:confused3 They were large and juicy! The presentation is awesome. Meals were all around mediocre...

DH:had 2 nations beer flights. He really enjoyed them! For his entree he had Paddy's pork. He said it was okay . The mashed potatoes were extremely bland.
DS:had the Shepherd's pie. He didn't enjoy this, and he loves meat and potatoes. After I tasted it I knew why. It was entirely tasteless!:scared1:
DD: Had the kids burger and fries...I think she ate it.
me: Pie in the Sky. It was above average. I shared with my son b/c he really wasn't into the Shepherd's pie.
We skipped dessert because we were going to go to Ghiradelli's but it was closed.

***extra review...we met up with my brother at Earl of Sandwich...they had been vacationing at Universal :scared1: and they really enjoyed the sandwiches there. My SIL said the bread was absolutely perfect!

I'm sorry you didn't like Boma, the dishes you didn't like are some of my favorites, except for the watermelon rind salad, I don't like that either.

Wow! What a busy day! Today we went to DHS, Blizzard Beach and Epcot! Whew!:scared: We won't try this again in the near future! Made it to RD at DHS and after riding RnR and Tot and Star Tours (won't be rushing back to this ride), and Muppetvision we were famished. That grab-n-go doesn't hold you for long...We stopped in Toy Story pizza planet for lunch. This is when we decided Disney world pizza is not for us!!! My chidren said no more. The sauce was watery, and the toppings sparse. We got there around 11:15 so it was empty...we should have walked into Sci-Fi. That will be a must-do next trip! The kids were anxious to get to BB so we left. My DH and I had a strawberry margarita at a hut in front of the wave pool at BB that was pretty refreshing.

We were rushing to make our 6:40pm ADR at Chefs de France. We were a few minutes late...note to self France is not as close to Canada as it looks!:goodvibes My husband had the Duck, which he said was delicious, with the exception of the sweet potato mash served along side. I had the macaroni and cheese that tasted like one I made from an episode of Barefoot Contessa. It was delish and a good change of pace from meat centered dishes offered at WDW. Our only complaint was with the children's menu..both kids ordered from the kiddie menu, and they didn't really care for it. They need more variety! They basically had the hamburgers on a brioche bun and a cheese puff pastry appy.
We shared an order of profiteroles which were pretty good. I wanted to lick the warm chocolate sauce off the plate! :rotfl:
Total = $92.00 with DDE

after dinner we were in search of handscooped icecream...the closest we came was a gelato in Italy. They were pre-packaged. My DD said it tasted powdery! My DS opted for a mickey sandwich was is always awesome! I was so tired after illuminations that I forgot to stop in Norway for my Cloudberry horn!:scared1:

Up next Ohana with a party of 11 would it be as good as Monday???

They could have been having an off night...I won't go as late as we did...but it was an on the fly adjustment because we were too tired to make it on our arrival day.

:)

Great reviews. Can't wait to hear about your experience at House Of Blues:)

loving the reviews - have heard that the mac & cheese at chefs de france was really good!

He wants to go back to Le Chefs just for that mac & cheese!

I just asked if we go back next year, where do they want to eat...they didn't want to give any of them up! (Ohana, Boma, Kona, Le Chef, Le Cellier, PH) I wouldn't mind throwing in a couple of new spots!

Of course, they were happy w/ POP food court!

DD9 said Le Cellier & Ohanas were her fav. (actually, she keeps adding everytime she considers each place! a girl after my own hear!)
DS7 said Kona & Boma ("that place where you got your own food") were his.
DS12 said Le Chef & Le Cellier.
Me, Boma, Ohana & Le Cellier are must dos.

Excellent............thanks for sharing.

Today we went back to Epcot and started our day at Sunshine Seasons. I had eggs and sausage with a very dry biscuit! My DH had the same but with potatoes and he subbed the biscuit for a piece of french toast which I made him split it with me since he didn't let me in on the substitution.:snooty: It was a great breakfast...I don't have a total for this one though. Later we stopped by the Electric Umbrella for a late lunch. This was by and far the worst counter service we had all week, and this is a place we usually frequent at epcot because of the a/c. We all ordered hamburgers and the were cold at the center! The fries were just warm enough not to return but by the time you got your drinks they were lukewarm to cold. Needless to say we filled up on drinks.

Chaka cousins!!! Back to Ohana. I started off with a Lapu Lapu and my DH got a beer. Having been here twice in one week I can truly say your experience here can be hit or miss depending on your server. The first time we had cousin Denise who was fantastic. This time we had a server who was very personable but not as attentive. We had to ask for the shrimp which came out a full 20 min after the steak. He was trying to force the turkey and pork on us, and we were waiting for the steak and shrimp. Very slow. Let me say the broccoli and snap peas with garlic and ginger is fantastic! We ate two bowls. The only downside was the noodle dish. It would be tastier if they changed the noodles. The consistency was too doughy. They are supposed to be like lo mein noodles but they must have been overcooked or prepared with too much flour. I think they will have to revamp these soon I people are not enjoying them. Total for 7 adults and 3 children with 2 Lapu Lapu's and a beer was about $287 with DDE.

We are definitely going to try Le Cellier for lunch next time along with a few new choices. The kids picked the Contemporary over the Poly *gasp* but it just worked for us...we liked coming 'home' at night and it was quiet and not over-run with families.
