Dh and I went to WDW for a quick weekend trip! Here are a couple of quick reviews:
10/2
Lunch: Whispering Canyon Cafe
DH and I both had Sister Sharon's Smokehouse Stack. This is one HUGE sandwich. Next time DH and I will share one! It was delicious!! DH had a cholcolate milkshake and I had a strawberry one...all-you-can-drink too! We could barely move after that lunch! Lots of funny antics going on and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe.
Total w/ tip $33.00
Dinner: Le Cellier - PS 7:30pm
We had a 45 minute wait after we checked in at 7:20pm. Lots of people waiting and no walk-ups accepted.
The meal and service were excellent! Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and provided great service. Dh had the Canadian Chedder Cheese Soup which was wonderful!! I had the Steakhouse Caesar Salad which was good, but had a little too much dressing. The pretzel breadsticks were just as wonderful as everyone has said! I think I ate 3!! DH ordered the Surf n Turf which came with an 8-10 ounce steak and a 6 ounce lobster tail along with yukon gold roasted potatoes. He said his meal was excellent and cooked to a rare perfection! I had the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon. Oh my word!!! My steak was incredible! The mushroom risotto added the most wonderful flavor and my steak was perfectly cooked. I could not finish my meal, but of course there is always room for dessert! I ordered the Chocolate "Moose" from the children's menu and it was delicious! DH had an Irish Creme Coffee which he said was very good. This was an excellent meal and we can't wait until we have the opportunity to go back!
Total w/ tip $107.00
10/3
Breakfast: Main Street Bakery
I had the French Toast Loaf and it was yummy! A great way to start off the day.
Lunch : Columbia Harbour House
We were on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, so this is where we ate lunch. I had the Starboard Deck Sandwich with potatoe chips which I thought was very tasty. DH had half of a Starboard Deck Sandwich and a cup of New England Clam Chowder. He didn't care for the sandwich as much as I did because the bread had little pieces of olives baked into it....and DH does not like olives, but said the soup was good. I would go back to this restaurant again! It's nice and cool inside with lots of seating.
Lite snack/dinner: Le Cellier - 5pm
We were about to head back home, so we stopped off at Le Cellier for some Chedder Cheese Soup and Pretzel Breadsticks to go! I just asked the hostess if we could get some soup to go and she said sure! We found a nice spot to sit in the World Showcase and devoured our soup and breadsticks.
Total $13.00 ( we were only charged $1.00 for each set of 3 pretzel breadsticks!!)
Just thinking about Le Cellier makes me hungry!!
Hope you enjoyed the reviews
