Review on new Mary Jane Crocs!

Just got my black MJ's last night. I already have about 5 pr of other Crocs. I wear a 9 and these fit pretty well. The back strap is really loose on the back of my foot though. But, they stay on very well. Since I have a very high arch, I had to stretch the top band a little bit, but now it's fine.
I also don't think they are quite as cushy as the other Crocs. They feel 'flatter', can't think of any other way to put it. Also, my feet do seem to be sweating more than usual in them...wonder why that is?
I'm waiting for the Prima's to come in stock, so I can buy my dd hers.

FutureMrsC,

Thanks so much for posting that the Crocs web site has the MJ's now--and in more colors! The price is less than at Journeys, too.

It's not just you tripping, btw. I think the MJ's just grip so well that they sort of get stuck on the floor. I've had it happen a few times, but the funny thing is that it only happens in Target. Something about their floor.

Consider me addicted! I purchased my first pair of Crocs (black Mary Janes) on Tuesday at a local Journeys. It is now Thursday and I have ordered red MJs, gold Primas, and a bunch of Jibbitz via the internet. I have a new obsession!

OT-Has anyone tried the Crocs Islanders? I've been thinking about trying these, but haven't heard anything about them.

I'd like to order some MJ's from the Crocs web site because they have colors that Journeys doesn't have, but I found a thread on here from earlier this summer where several people were talking about their bad experiences ordering from Crocs directly. Anyone have any input on how Crocs is doing with customer service these days? Or has anyone found some place besides Crocs to get the expanded color range of MJ's?

The Caymans are supposed to be more narrow than the Beach -- don't know about the MaryJanes, but they probably are as well.

The last time I looked the CROCS website did not have MJ's I will have to check it out. I think I have posted this before, but I feel the MJ's are more true to size than athens or caymans. I bought mine from Journeys and I bought a size smaller. Hope that helps. I also ordered 2 pair for DH and DD from FOGDOG and I was very happy. We got them within 3 days(reg. shipping) :thumbsup2

Bought a pair last Thursday, and they are my new favorite shoe. They are my first pair of crocs, so I'm wondering if the rub off of black dye is normal?

:Pinkbounc Yes this is post 200! :Pinkbounc

I, too, have the rub-off black stuff... it seems to only happen w/ mine if I'm running around like crazy for a long period of time (chasing after my students :rotfl2: ). I have to polish/armoral these more often than I do my other crocs (then again, my others are white!)... they seem to get dull faster... not that it matters to me... these are the only ones my principal will allow! :thumbsup2

Now, has anyone tried those ballet flats?! I'm DYING to hear how those feel!!!

I got my ballet flats today! I love them!!:cloud9: They are as comfy as beach ones, and really cute! It took me a few hours to get used to walking in them, my heel wanted to pull up out of the back, which is low, but now they feel like second skin.

They are not clunky at all, in fact the toes are slimmer that some of my "regular" shoes, they will easily pass as dress flats. The top just covers your toes, so I don't think I will have to worry about my feet getting hot.

I will report back in a few days on if you will be able to wear them in the parks. I plan to wear them on my evening walks for a few days to see if they are park worthy.

I am sad to report that after taking two pairs of MJ Crocs to WDW, my feet were covered in blisters after the second day. :(

I was afraid that might happen since they are more narrow and less padded than the beach/cayman etc.

Sorry to hear your poor feet didn't do well.

I love my new mary jane crocs. they are as comfortable as my other crocs. I was irrated at the Journey store though. The sales person told me that the mary jane crocs were only available at Journeys and since they were out of my size i left the mall. I went to Dillards a couple of days ago and found them in my size in the color i wanted. So much for the salesman at Journeys. At least I have them and I love them!

Has anyone had trouble with the top strap of the MJs rubbing your foot? It looks like it could get uncomfortable after a while!

I really like the Prima ones, but just can't see them being as comfy for the park as the beach!

I just noticed that Dillards is now carrying the Mary Jane Crocs online. Women's are $29.99, and girls' are $24.99. The women's come in a couple of colors I didn't see at Journeys--red or gold--and go up to size 12.

I finally made it to the mall yesterday-

They didnt have any of the Mary Janes in my size, so no report there. I did get to try on the Primas- they fit very snugly, so I was worried about blisters. Also, the pink color is VERY hot pink! I didn't expect them to be quite so bright! I may consider getting them if I can find them in black, but I don't think I'd use them for WDW.

I ended up with a new pair of beach ones, and gave in and bought the flip flops. When I first put on the flip flops (Athens?), I thought I wasn't going to like them, but after wearing them for about 10 minutes, they became my new favorite shoes! They support your feet SO much better than regular sandals, while being more comfy! I think these will be my main WDW shoes now!

i went this past weekend and bought a pair of the mary jane's after trying them on and actually liking them! i hate the clog type crocs (they are way too huge on my really skinny feet). i was shocked at how the mary janes actually hold my feet in and how i don't feel like they are slipping out at all. i've worn them the last 2 days at work (i walk around a lot) and my feet feel great! horray for crocs! :rotfl:

I might have to try these. The regular crocs are ugly as sin imho, but reading all the posts here about how comfortable they are makes me want to try a pair for our trip in December!

Seeing that I loved my Mary Janes, I ordered a pair of khaki Caymens from Shoebuy.com with the code. I wore the shoes for the first whole day last Thursday as to start the break in process for next week's Disney trip. Yes, I have a women's size 12 foot and no matter what my feet will look big. As I sat in the Dental chair being fit for a crown and looking at them for 5 minutes (I blame it on Uncle Dentist who has had the same picture for 10 years, what else would I look at with foam in my mouth for 5 minutes :teeth: ) I decided that while I love my Mary Janes, the Caymens are comfy but just too ugly even for me to wear on vacation. So it's back to sneakers or hoping I can get a pair of Khaki or blue Mary Janes in the next week!
