People are always looking for transportation back and forth to Universal and someone recommended this company on these boards so I thought I would give them a try and give some feedback, since I haven't seen much posted about this company. I sent an email through the email address on their website and requested a rate to the RP for 4 people. Sergio got back to me right away with a rate of $60 plus 20% tip (prepay). This was the cheapest rate that I could find for a private hire car (not interested in Mears shuttles), as Tony would have cost me well over $100. I have to say that I was very impressed with his service. He was there waiting for us on time, took us over to get our luggage and we were out the door and in the car in less than 10 minutes. He was parked in the first spot when you go out the back hallway where the private shuttles park (which I never even knew existed). The van was like brand new and he had water in a cooler that he offered all of us. He kept in touch by email and verified everything and even thanked us after we came home. I didn't need him on the way back because we had a ride with relatives to the airport, but I would definitely book with him the next time we go.

Thanks for the info. We were thinking of just using a regular cab, but this sounds as if it would cost about the same and be a sure thing.

sounds like you got a winner with sergio.

is the $72 a round trip cost?

if you like a private company, it's always good to let others know in order to help them with making a decision for transportation!
most peeps that are in need of reasonable transportation are swayed by others like you, that can recommend one based on their experience.

sometimes owners go out of business and you always need to know what choices are out there.

thanks for sharing!

If that's round trip, it would be a steal as that is the typical rate for one way.

it sure is !!
i'm paying tony $50 for each way of transporting.
he pays the fee and parks inside the hotel also.

some companies don't do that and you have to walk to the parking area outside the airport for the car.

The OP said he did not need him for the way back to the airport, so I assume that cost is one way.

I did a taxi cost estimator for MCO-RPH and came up with $48.75, which includes the $1 airport fee and a 10% tip. Does that sound about right? If so, we'll probably stick with that.

Yup, that is about right. We find that it is usually about $100 to go from MCO to the hotel and back again.

i saw that after i posted.

your estimate sounds right.
the few times i have done a taxi has varied.
it was a last minute thing and didn't book a private car then.

i've paid between $37 to 49, depends on traffic.

yes, $72 for a one way trip is more than i am used to paying.

You have to really watch the route that the taxi driver takes as they will try to pull a fast one on you. We have paid as low as $35 and as high as $60 with the same traffic. Also, a word of warning...be very cautious if you are arriving early (10am or earlier). We had two instances where the taxi driver fell asleep doing 70+MPH. They drive all night with little to no sleep...VERY SCARY. After that, I would gladly pay $20 more for a town car and I get to keep my life.

Just to clarify-this was for a one way trip. I did call Tony and was quoted $100 (plus tip) for 4 people for one way, so this did save us a bit a of money. I believe Mears was $15 per person for a shuttle (not private).
