We (me, hubby, and twin 7 year old daughters) were in Florida from 8/22 - 8/31 ...stayed at Nick Hotel for 1 night and day ... then onto Disney's AKL and then onto a hotel in Miami Beach. Here's our review of the Nick Hotel: It is a fun place especially for the kids (11 and under). Previous to staying there, I read a lot of negative reviews about the Nick Hotel
it really isnt bad
try it for yourself and see. I had fun and I know my kids loved it. If you are going to stay there, try to get a discounted rate check the Nick site itself and also Travel zoo and Travelocity run special discounted rates periodically. I paid $79 + tax and fee for a 1 Bedroom suite and that was sufficient space for the 4 of us
and it had 2 TVs in the room a big plus. The girls loved the pool and the water slide areas
they could stay there all day and night. They have slime come down from a pail twice a day
and the kids all love it
theres this big anticipation leading up to the slime. And there are so many lifeguards around. Theres a lot to do at the hotel for the kids - free stuff and paying things. At night, they had a movie playing at the pool and they play games near the pool during the day
where they get both the kids and parents involved. They also make nice drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I liked the hotel
.not sure if I could stay there longer than 3 consecutive days
but I would definitely do it again
.for the kids. Please dont let all the negative reviews stop you
.give it a chance. Oh ... on the day we checked out
we rented a cabana at Nick for the morning
.that was nice.
