We (me, hubby, and twin 7 year old daughters) were in Florida from 8/22 - 8/31 ...stayed at Nick Hotel for 1 night and day ... then onto Disney's AKL and then onto a hotel in Miami Beach. Here's our review of the Nick Hotel: It is a fun place especially for the kids (11 and under). Previous to staying there, I read a lot of negative reviews about the Nick Hotel …it really isn’t bad …try it for yourself and see. I had fun and I know my kids loved it. If you are going to stay there, try to get a discounted rate – check the Nick site itself and also Travel zoo and Travelocity run special discounted rates periodically. I paid $79 + tax and fee for a 1 Bedroom suite and that was sufficient space for the 4 of us … and it had 2 TVs in the room a big plus. The girls loved the pool and the water slide areas …they could stay there all day and night. They have slime come down from a pail twice a day …and the kids all love it …there’s this big anticipation leading up to the ‘slime’. And there are so many lifeguards around. There’s a lot to do at the hotel for the kids - free stuff and paying things. At night, they had a movie playing at the pool and they play games near the pool during the day …where they get both the kids and parents involved. They also make nice drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I liked the hotel ….not sure if I could stay there longer than 3 consecutive days …but I would definitely do it again ….for the kids. Please don’t let all the negative reviews stop you ….give it a chance. Oh ... on the day we checked out …we rented a cabana at Nick for the morning ….that was nice.

Glad you enjoyed your stay there.

Can you tell me how much is it to rent a poolside cabana? I can't find any prices anywhere!

Thank you :)

We also went around this time from Aug 21-23 before our 6 night stay at Contemporary at Disney. I will make this short since i will be posting a review soon, we didnt like it at first but had a much better day the next day and glad we experienced it. Give it a chance is all i can say.
