Review my dining please!

Ugh you guys are killing my plans. We were thinking lunch 11ish and then 7ish for dinner. That's a solid 8 hours between meals and would think that should be decent........I think.
It will probably still be hot in Oct so that will affect how much you can eat. And the Deluxe Dining Plan includes the appetizer as well as dessert. I know at home when I'm eating a big meal like that I barely eat any lunch.

From a time perspective. The parks are open 13 hours a day or less. You're planning to spend 4 of those hours eating most every day, so you cut yourself down to 9 hours. If you're planning on doing an afternoon break figure an hour transportation both ways unless you plan on using Uber. So 3 hours max for that. So that will leave you 6 hours of park time left assuming you rope drop and stay till close. That will make the time you are at the parks feel a lot more rushed because you have only so much time. Plus, it will be harder to fit things in when you're constantly working around reservations. People complain about working around one reservation a day. Two will be very restrictive. Plus, I wouldn't want to spend that much much time sitting young kids down at restaurants every day when they're in disney and there's so much to explore. Even if its just getting a quick service meal and going to the pool at the resort, I'd much rather that. But you know your kids best, if you think they will be ok sitting this long every day and not get antsy go for it. But if you think they may get a little restless, I'd say cut back a bit. It's not worth the struggle and stress it'll be for you. I do think most people that do the deluxe plan tend to be couples going childless or people getting it for only one of their two rooms and splitting the credits between double the people.

I’ve done DxDP with my 2.5 year old in 2016 and will do it again this July for our split stay when he’s 5. I think you will be fine. Just be ready to preoccupy them for longer meals, I brought small cars and colouring stuff :) I like your choices and for California Grill and Morimoto, I’m sure they will be fine. Those restaurants seem to have a lot of kids there. I’m taking mine to CG brunch and Morimoto for dinner. I have flying fish citricos Jaleo and Monsieur Paul on my list too!

Well, I think we are going to change to the regular dining plan. The idea of sitting down for that long kind of did it in. Our oldest would be ok but our youngest is kinda a mess with sitting for long periods.

Kinda disappointed because I've put in a lot of time in planning for the deluxe, but what can you do.

With that said, are there any good quick service places in HS?

My usual Hollywood Studios day usually involves eating breakfast at the resort, having a large lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In, and eating light for dinner. The QS options there are notoriously mediocre, but ABC Commissary is pretty good and when it comes to feeding the kids you'll be able to find hot dogs/chicken nuggets/etc. pretty easily. You're not going to get anything too out of the ordinary when it comes to the QS options but at the very least you'll find some "ol' reliable" options there.

You can always grab a quick service pizza from the boardwalk right outside the Italian Restaurant.
