We are a party of two -- husband and I -- celebrating our 1st anniversary. We love the parks, but we also love to experience the food and have no problem taking time out to get a good meal. We decided to splurge and go with the Deluxe Dining Plan. We arrive at 1130am on the first day

Day One

Lunch: Prime Time 50's at 2pm
Dinner: WCC at 8:40pm

(this is the one day I am still thinking of changing. After thinking about it, I am not thinking DH will like WCC much)

Day Two (Epcot Day)

Brkfast: Boma at 9:45
Lunch: Chef de France at 2pm
Dinner: Marakesh at 8:55pm

Day Three (MK Day)

Brkfast: 1900 Park Fare at 10:55am *no earlier ADRs available*
Lunch: Tony's at 2:45pm
Dinner: Boma at 9:35pm

Day Four (AK Day)

Brkfst: None
Lunch: Tukser House at 12pm
Dinner: CG at 9:30pm

Day Five (Epcot and MK)

Brkst: Cape May at 8:55am
Lunch: Sunshine Seasons CS (light)
Dinner: CRT at 6:55pm

Day Six (MGM day)

Brkfst: Kona Cafe at 8:20am
Lunch: none
Dinner *early*: Hollywood and Vine at 4pm
Late Snack: Kona Cafe at 9:20pm

Day Seven (AK day)

Brkfast: Crystal Palace at 8:55am
Lunch: Yak and Yeti at 2:30pm
Dinner: Jiko at 9:30pm

Day Eight (undecided)

Brkfast: Boma at 8am
Lunch: Sci Fi at 1:30pm

Plane leaves at 7:30pm

So that's it! As you noticed, yes we like to eat and yes I have alot of ressie's. We are the type of people that don't like it when we cant get what we want.

Day One and Day Eight are still relatively undecided. I doubt we will use many of our snack credits, so we will prolly we bringing some food home!

Any opinions are welcome!

You ask for opinions so here it goes. Sorry!
Everything looks good in my opinion. I just don't like two of your choices.
Hollywood & Vine ( never here good things) & Si Fi

Si Fi was one of our must do's every trip and they have changed there menu and have not been happy threre since. It's sad cause we loved it there.

When we are at HS we go either to Mama Melrose or Prime time.

Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Are you doing the fantasmic package with the Hollywood and Vine ressie? This is the only one I would think of changing - we ate there and it was  . By far the worst meal we've had at WDW... we refused to eat it after a few tries and left hungry. The rest look great - I would keep Boma for breakfast - it was very yums! The juice there is not to be missed! Have a great anniversary

Day One

Lunch: Prime Time 50's at 2pm
Dinner: WCC at 8:40pm
Looks good...make sure the lunch ressie is at least 3 hours after plane arrives..giving enough time to get luggage, pickup car/get on ME, to resort, check in and over to DHS

(this is the one day I am still thinking of changing. After thinking about it, I am not thinking DH will like WCC much)

Day Two (Epcot Day)

Brkfast: Boma at 9:45
Lunch: Chef de France at 2pm
Dinner: Marakesh at 8:55pm

You will not get out of Bomas until approx 10:45. By the time you get over to Epcot it will be about 11:45 on bus, 11:15 car...leaving you about 2 hours then its sit down lunch time again!!

Day Three (MK Day)

Brkfast: 1900 Park Fare at 10:55am *no earlier ADRs available*
Lunch: Tony's at 2:45pm
Dinner: Boma at 9:35pm

You will leave 1900 around noon, again a buffet..lots to eat. Will you be hungry at 2:30 for another sit down meal?

Day Six (MGM day)

Brkfst: Kona Cafe at 8:20am
Lunch: none
Dinner *early*: Hollywood and Vine at 4pm
Late Snack: Kona Cafe at 9:20pm
Are you staying at the Poly? Just asking because of the snack. I assumed with first lunch at Bomas, you were staying at AKL....if not, make sure you have plenty of time to get over there on first day. Many friends say its 2+ hours to get to the resorts from the airport on ME. I always rent a car and its still close to 2 hours..waiting in line for paperwork, getting shuttle to pick up car, drive to resort.

Day Seven (AK day)

Brkfast: Crystal Palace at 8:55am
Lunch: Yak and Yeti at 2:30pm
Dinner: Jiko at 9:30pm

CP is in MK. Another buffet breakfast. By the time you leave, get over to AK, you'll have 2 hours and it will be lunch time.

Day Eight (undecided)

Brkfast: Boma at 8am
Lunch: Sci Fi at 1:30pm

Plane leaves at 7:30pm

If there is any chance you are not late sleepers, try to get the breakfasts a little earlier..or even later lunches. Your dinners are pretty late so a leter lunch might work for you....

Just my opinion! Everyone is different. Great choices of restaurants!! Enjoy!!

I agree with PP....on day 2 and day 3, there's not enough time between breakfast and lunch. You won't be ready for another big sit-down meal for many hours. We did DxDDP in February and tried to do the same as you....we wound up canceling several ADR's because we weren't hungry. We also skipped the appy and dessert at a few restaurants because of our lack of hunger. My husband and I enjoy eating but found it was too much!

Also, I have to tell you that we didn't like Tony's at MK. It was very disappointing. The food was blah and the service was horrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone going there. Try Plaza...it's on Main Street at MK and has good sandwiches/ice cream.

When we have traveled to Disney in September the heat puts a crimp on our appetite so we seem to always enjoy one big meal and then CS or snack for the others, but that is just us. With that in mind......by having the Deluxe plan it seems like you have chosen restuarants with many different choices:thumbsup2; enjoy the selection and don't fill up on stuff liked "mashed potatoes" so you can be choosey and try a bunch of their specialities.

Late buffet dinners always seem to curb my appetite more towards a light breakfast, so you may not want to plan a buffet late and then a buffet early the next day:confused3

I second the notion on the Hollywood and Vine, really not that great. With the Deluxe would you enjoy maybe enjoy the Brown Derby, it seems to get great reviews.

Enjoy your trip and I'll be watching the trip report boards if you create one:rolleyes:

I am on the deluxe too. I originally planned meals at 8, 2 and 8. After reveiwing the menus, I realized I could not possibly eat that much.

We now changed to mostly buffet breakfasts a little later than planned ( 9 - 9:30) and earlier dinners at the signature restaurants / dinner shows (2 credit meals). We still have 2 snack credits each day if we are still in need of more food!! (2 days we stayed with the 8, 2, 8 plan too, so we'll have those snack credits too!!)

Keep the Disney Dining # in your cell phone. If you find its too much for you having the 3 per day, cancel a lunch and see if you can have a nice romantic dinner at California Grill or Narcoosees, or possibly the Spirit of Aloha Dinner show...Luau by candlelight!

Of the ones you are doing that we have done, we like and have enjoyed them all with the exception of H&V. It was one of the two worse meals we have ever had at Disney. After two bad experiences, we won't go back.

Lunch: Prime Time 50's at 2pm - This is a must for me on every trip!! :woohoo:
Brkfast: Crystal Palace at 8:55am - This is a must for me on every trip!! :woohoo:
Lunch: Sci Fi at 1:30pm - Gave this 3 tries over the last 3 trips. 3 strikes and it's out. :sad2: Food was awful. Fries undercooked and burger so greasy it was soaked through the bun.

We're going for the deluxe plan too for our upcoming trip. We had the regular plan last time, when it was still app/entree/dessert and ate our CS and still felt like we were missing a meal-breakfast, which we ended up going to a few character ones and paying out of pocket.

We're doing the same thing you are, some days we have an breakfast, two days we dont, sometimes 3 meals, sometimes a signature so 2 meals. I dont think it'll be too much food. That's my fav part about Disney (one of).

I would change Hollywood and Vine to 50's -great meatloaf and peanut butter and jelly shake or Sci-Fi I LOVE this place, the ribs are fantastic!

I'm looking forward to WCC and we're a party of 2 adults, the food looks great and i've never been there before! Wish i could fit it into the beginning of our trip! Yum!

To me, it seems like a lot of food and the meals seem much too close together. Keep in mind we are definitely foodies and DH has a big appetite. I don't think we could keep up with this schedule. If I were going to go deluxe, I would probably pick more signature meals to finish off each evening. I'd plan on at least a few quick service meals or just snacks in place of meals.

As for the specific restuarants you chose, I can give you my opinions:

Boma: Fantastic! We really enjoyed dinner there. But why not put your breakfast ADR for Boma on the day that you are going to AK and have no ADR planned for breakfast? It would make a lot more sense to me.

Chef de France: I would have dinner here, not lunch.

Tony's: Seems completely mediocre to me. I'd choose something more interesting.

California Grill: Good choice. Did you make sure that you got it in time to watch Wishes?

Sunshine Seasons: Excellent choice! Such a great place to eat.

Cinderella's Royal Table: I would get a ADR for an hour or more later if I were you. I would imagine the later you wait, the more childless families you'll encounter.

Jiko: Seems like a great choice. Haven't tried it yet but it's on our list to try.

Sci-Fi Dine-In: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS! I think it's the only restaurant I've ever been in my life where I actually felt sick while consuming the food. The ambience is really cool but the food is rotten and the service almost as bad.
