Review: Gifts of a Lifetime

I listened to the podcast with Jane Cartelli at Gifts of a Lifetime and just wanted to take a minute to give her and her Pixies a ringing endorsement!

Inspired by the interview, I decided to give Gifts of a Lifetime a try. I used her excellent service this past weekend and took advantage of Jane's creativity to surprise my DS with a very special anniversary event at Epcot. While I will respect Jane's very reasonable request not to publicize exactly what took place, I will say that the settings and the event were perfectly tailored to my DS's particular likes and interests, and we both enjoyed scavenging through Epcot towards the final goal.

The Pixies made certain that each item was in its proper place at the proper time, even when yours truly blundered into Soarin' ten minutes before our appointed start time, which of course meant that we were running late even with the Fastpass.

I exchanged a number of emails with Jane and spoke to her on the phone several times in the course of setting this up. She was patient and professional throughout. I highly recommend Gifts of a Lifetime to anybody who wants to include a very special event as part of their WDW experience. My DS noted that our kids would probably love to do something similar to what we did during our next visit down. Based on my experience, I'm sure Jane could tailor something special for almost any situation.

I second that!

We've used Jane & her pixies three times now, and each time was PERFECT! Jane was SO EASY to work with, and she was always super-quick with answers to any questions I had (and I had plenty - believe me)!

Like you said, I won't give details of any of the events, but two of them took place during very difficult times in our lives - the first was just a few months after my mother-in-law passed away, and the other was a few months after my father-in-law passed away. I just wanted to do something special for my husband that wasn't over the top and Jane had great ideas both times!

I can't say enough good things about Gifts of a Lifetime!

Thanks for the great endorsements. This is very high on my list of things to do for our big x-mas 09 trip. I know details of the events are kept secret for obvious reasons. Anyway to discuss loosely some of the options? Is it all scavenger hunt based or does it involve much more than that?

I third the rave review for Jane and her Pixies. I had a special surprise for my wife's 45th birthday at WDW and it was an absolutely amazing event that went beautifully well and was fun for both of us. The Pixies were awesome, the event was fantastic and Jane is a dream to work with. The whole experience was worth every penny..and then some!

Jane and her Pixies have been doing these for many years, and I wouldn't presume to know what the range of options are, though I do know they go beyond the scavenger hunt-based. I'd suggest that you visit the website. There is more info there, as well as a link to a form that you can complete (no obligation, by the way) that is designed to provide her with information that she uses to help come up with some ideas.
