Review: Garden Grill 11/23

When: Tuesday, 11/23 for supper

This was another fantastic dining experience for us. The food was terrific.. It was always brought out hot and plentiful. Everything was very tasty. We had another PS goof up here, I dont know why.. but they were courteous and accomodating the best they could. There were a few upsetting things that occurred but had nothing to do with the restaurant. After that was taken care of, we had a grand time. We had plenty of character interaction. We saw chip and dale both 3 times. Each spent plenty of time at the table playing with the kids. Once Dale took my kids with him on to the next tables. Pluto was also terrific. in fact, we saw him 4 times.. and the last time, he was HYSTERICAL! He laid down on the floor was reaching up to the table. I couldnt figure out what he wanted. I thought he couldnt get up... finally figured out, he was reaching for table scraps! He got a bowl pretended to eat it... did all kinds of neat things. Was lots of fun!! Probably our best character interaction. We saw Mickey twice I think. He was fun but much more rushed than the other characters. OH and the dessert.. apple crisp and ice cream was to die for!! This was a great place to eat.

We had catfish, steak and maybe chicken or turkey?? I cant remember for sure on the poultry. Hope this helps.

I have a quick question for someone who has eaten here before:

We have a PS there for our upcoming trip. One of my nieces who will be accompanying us is a VERY finicky eater, but she WILL eat steak. In fact, she will eat a LOT of steak. Will they be upset if we keep requesting just steak, or will they bring out the entire platter of food (like the one I've seen pictures of)?

I don't think they'll be annoyed at all. As in all restaurants, alot depends on your server, but ours was great there. Children are welcome to eat anything off the adult meal. Happy eating!

I love GG - I know I am going to eat there on this trip but I haven't decided when. I love the catfish!

CaliforniaDreaming: We ate there on Thanksgiving and the potatoe was a fried potatoe.

When I have eaten there in the past, they have had the BEST mashed potatoes I have ever had. We also ask for no fish on our setting and they will add more of the others. I haven't eaten there since 2001, and when I go in Jan, they are going to be closed. This is the one restaurant we ALWAYS eat at, and I am going to miss it!
