Review for Vicks Humidifier?? Any coupons for it??

My DDs asthma acts up during the cold season. During other months it is pretty non existent. Right now I am giving her breathing treatments about 2-3 times a day with her Albuterol. But she still cant sleep at night (going on 4 nights) because of her coughing. But when she is awake she does not cough. She even had a slight fever last night. SOOOO does anyone have one of these Vicks humidifiers? I want to see if you think it is worth the $ to go get one to help her at night? Are there any coupons out there for one?

Do you think you need the hot mist humidifer? I love my cold mist humidifer, espeically during the winter months when the heat is on.

Have you had your vents and furnace area cleaned? That could be a big part of the problem with your daughter's asthma. Do you have a real tree?

I have asthma as well and understand what a hassle it can be.

I personally don't like the vick's humidifer because I just rub the vicks on my nose or chest and prefer the cold mist. Whatever humidifer you get, don't forget to change the filters regularly.

I agree we love our cool mist humidifier also. Just be sure to get the one that doesnt require a filter, they get a little pricey.

DGD has asthma and they use the hot mist. It works great for her coughing. The use it along with vicks rub and she sleeps sound through the night.

We also have a cold mist humidifier and I think it helps us. It wasn't very expensive and easily worth the money.

We use cold mist - humidifier is 10 years old and still going strong...thank goodness. Vicks on the chest and feet after he goes to sleep and definitely the plug in "vick's"-type things. He loves those and they do help.
