im working on typing it...plus looking up james knox polk!!!

hey mellie!!!! you, caroline, and em are the only "teens" who are talking to me i get all excited when any of you get on!!

i told you about me starting to not eat lunch in seventh grade, and how EVERYONE was worried about me becoming anorexic, remember!! now shady and steven are worried, and so are heather, jessie, and kirstie!!! can you believe it?!?! yesterday, steven and shad slipped up in the lunch line, and got beside me and heather. shady asked me why i never eat.....and then steven said "yeah, do you really honestly think you need to starve yourself??" i told them i wasnt, but they said "yeah yeah, thats what mary-kate said" i said that im not mary-kate.....and shady and steven decided it was time to say something else...heather "signaled" them to drop the issue...hehe, so they started saying "well, you two aren't really hungry, are you??" "i mean you two must wight, what, 74, 75 pounds now, right?!?!" joking around, like heather and i really only weight that much....it was so funny, and i really appreciate that they care. i HAVE been weak all day, but it's probably just from weightliting.

have fun with vocabulary......i HATE that!!

ok, does this sound anorexic???? but i love knowing that my friends care here's what happened ALL fo my seventh grade year, and most of my eighth.....and now it's all starting up again

everyone thought i was anorexic last year because i grew a few inches, and lost some weight!! I quit eating lunch at school, because id eat snacks in class.then everyone's parents started freaking out about me!! it was crazy!!! even the guys would say stuff behind my back about me losing so much weight!!! but i was never anorexic!!! i COULDNT be!! I'd go crazy without food!! but i felt great because everyone cared so much!! even older people were worried....slade flat out said"are you anorexic?? you're way too freakin thin!! you lost too much weight, and you dont eat lunch, i watch you. you need to eat girl!!" and kevin and chris were worried...they would ask me why i was anorexic. id tell them i wasnt. they'd be like "yeah, sure" then kevin said "i couldnt pick you up last year, lets see if i can now....and chris grabbed me and kevin picked me up!!! it was pretty fun!! but then he started "worrying" and threatening to tell the counsuler if i didnt start eating lunch again!! i didnt eat lunch, but on the way to study hall/weightlifting, i would buy a bag of chips or something and show him and slade and basically everyone. one day honey sat there and watched me wat THREE bags of chips she bought for me!!!

oh, im sorry!!!!i just didnt want you to hurt yourself!!! i know that sometimes i dont eat dinner when im not hungry...but i rarely ever do that, even if im not hungry b.c i love to eat!!!!! lol thanx for letting us know!!!!

I can help you out with your James Polk assignment.....he's from the VERY BEST state ever-------NORTH CAROLINA!

And, there is a statue of him (and two others) in front of the State Capitol Building right here in Raleigh, NC. I actually walked right past it today! I know he wasn't one of the more exciting presidents BUT he was from the "Tarheel State" so ya gotta be happy bout dat!

Oh, yeah, and he was nicknamed "Napoleon of the Stump" because of his short stature

Well I'm not sure if this is a tribute but he was very close to Andrew Jackson who was nicknamed "Old Hickory" so Polk received the nickname "Young Hickory".

I was just reading up on him.......He was the only American President, besides George Washington, "who carried out every item on his political program"........ something we'll never see in our lifetime
