We are going to Universal in June and my boys (both early teens) are really looking forward to the Revenge of the Mummy ride. I don't like the "drop in the dark" feeling. ( I was scared on Space Mountain) Can anyone tell me about the ride? I right on the edge about going on or skipping it. Could you tell me your experiences on the ride? Thanks

Its kind of half/half between being a dark ride and being a rollercoaster.

The coaster section is fairly short, and there are no "huge" drops, but there are a couple smaller drops that may taken one by surprise. Its probably slightly more intense than Space mountain, but the coaster portion is much short than SM.

i think you should do it!my mum went on last year-she hates roller coasters, she LOVED the mummy :goodvibes .The special effects take your attention away from the roller coaster element.Good luck.

It actually isn't that intense at all compared to the current Space Mountain, which feels like it's going to fall apart at any minute. Mummy is very smooth.

I am not a great fan of Space Mountain, but I loved the Mummy. It is intense, but you feel very safe in the car. You do not get tossed around much at all. Like others have said, it is a short ride with no big drops. The cars are set up 4X4 (I think). Put yourself in the middle and it is less intense.

My husband is a coaster woosie and he enjoys the mummy.

There are only two drops to be even slightly concerned with then. There is one, small, backwards drop; and there is a 25 foot drop. That's it. The backwards drop is scarier because few expect it to happen so suddenly.
