Hey there. As we have seen alot of info on this I wanted to share what I heard. (I HOPE IT"S WRONG!!!!!)

I was at the Universal Studios store and all of the employees are wearing Revenge of the Mummy Tshirts. So I asked the sales girl (who was very nice by the way) if she knew when it would open.

She told me that they were told that the movie will open this spring, but that the ride will not open until summer.

Is this true? I hope not.

DM-have you heard anything?

Just wanted to share....

What movie would she be talking about Spidey? Both Mummy movies were already released. I think she was mistaken. If its any different the Seagull will fly overhead and drop us a message. By the way, you guys never responded to our call for service on the Fortune teller thread when I called.

Apparently employee previews start this week. Soft openings should be in a few weeks. This is what I decipher from ioacentral.

The USF Orlando ride is supposed to open this spring and the Hollywood ride this summer. Maybe she misunderstood someone.

Hey Prince, sorry I missed the thread! That's what I thought. I didn't think any new movies were coming out, but I just wasn't sure. I really hope it was a mistake.

I would've responded sooner, but dealing with Mummies isn't the easiest thing.

And previews may be happening very soon.

Maybe the Universal employee was using some sort of cryptic, themeing story code. Remember that the ride is based around the idea that we're visiting the set of the NEXT Mummy movie, which happenes to be haunted.

It's possible that the story line consists of the idea that the "movie" is coming out "soon" and that the themepark ride is opeing "after the movie". But we'll get a special sneak preview of the ride with the set tour. After we load the ride vehicles and go through some tipical theme park effects, the ghost of the Mummy attacks and sends us unsuspecting themepark ride testers into a hyper-real supernatural loop (literally).

Of course, I'm sure I'm completely wrong, but it sure is fun to imagine.

Based on the reactions I read over at IOACentral, I'm even more intrigued to ride it (even though the ride not being at 100% may have contributed to those opinions.)

DM.... I have heard a day for TRs to begin (you probably know which day I'm talking about), is this accurate?

Yeah, I understand how tentative things like TRs can be, and how quickly things can change, but at least the fact that you guys (Mummy employees) got a chance to finally ride it is a step in the right direction.

They've gotta say something soon if they're going to do something for the AP holders.
Unless they pull another Disney like they did for MS. Soft opened the ride, people start talking about it, close it one day for AP holders, even though 3 pods we're working and make me mad cause I was there, then don't even have a grand celebration when it finally opens.
I bet they do 2 hours of ERT like they did for Shrek and have some gifts you can buy.

Very cute picture!!!! LOL

DM........... are you going to be one of the first riders???

DM has already ridden. Hopefully he will give us the thumbs up.

OK.......... wow, I'm out of the loop!!! When did he get to ride??? YEAH, I hope he fills us in.......... my boys want the "scoop"!!

Yeah, Mummy employees rode last night, and from what I can gather, many of them were blown away, while some weren't as impressed. But, not all effects were working, so these opinions were not from a 100% completed attraction.

I suspect DM wn't be allowed to say too much! But it gets more exciting by the hour.:D

DM rode????? Lucky guy!!!!!!!! I just cannot wait!
