I want to try this ride but I am afraid of roller coasters. After 4 years I finally got the courage to ride Expedition Everest, how does the mummy compare to Expedition Everest? Any big drops?

If you've ridden EE you'll have no problem with Mummy.
In my opinion, Mummy is a bit tamer than Expedition Everest.

How do you feel about fire?? ;). The fire freaked out DS and DD was scared of the mummies. Neither of them minded the coaster lol

Mummy is tamer.

The effects, however, can be scarier to those who are strongly affected by such things.

There are 2 drops. I do not like coasters, and I rode this. In some ways it seemed somewhat like space mountain, except on a regular coaster track. I guess scary is relative. I am not a haunted house fan, but both my DS and I thought the mummy was in poor condition and some scenery looked fake to us.

If you can ride Everest, then you should be fine on Mummy.

How big are the drops?? I hate coasters, but love simulators and good theming. I love big thunder mountain but never had the courage to ride Everest.

The fire and scary stuff doesn't bother me, just drops and I really do not want to do any loops. I love Big Thunder Mountain and Star Tours, I actually didn't mind the backward part in EE but the drop at the end was not great. I have not done Space Mountain

Everest is way scarier. This is like space mountain, except shorter. I dont do coasters but this i did alot.

I'm by no means afraid of coasters, and have ridden many in my day. EE has that one section while your backwards that it feels like you're upside down (its dark, so I can't tell), that's the biggest thrill for me on EE. The mummy is more comparable, in my opinion, to RnRC - both are in the dark, both have more of that metal-made coaster feel to them.

I agree that Everest is way worse. The Mummy is a blast so check it out!
