Me and my family are planning on going to Le Cellier Steakhouse(Canada) for dinner one night on our next trip in April. How was it? I've heard good and bad reveiws but, I would like to hear more.

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I would skip it. There are far better restaurants with lower prices in WDW. While I liked my food, the portions were small and prices were high, suggesting better food quality than it actually was.

We LOVE LeCellier. We never miss it on a trip. The portions may be a tad smaller than some places, but that suits us fine as we insist on having the Cheese Soup and a dessert so with a slightly smaller portion, it leaves us room to enjoy everything. We were on the dining plan last year and will be this year and know that the appetizer is not included. But we will be happy to pay out of pocket for the soup. My DH had some type of prime rib sandwich (I think) and I had the filet over cream cheese mashed potatos and loved it. The Chocolate Chocolate Whiskey Cake was to die for (I'm starting my diet now because we plan on doing lunch and dinner there this year and I'll have the cake at both).

If you are on either dining plan (even better on DxDDP with the Cheddar Cheese Soup) you have picked a great place. Its a little expensive OOP. It is a hard ADR to get so enjoy yourself.

I think it is ok. I used the dining plan but if I had to pay the 240.00 out of pocket, that our bill came to, I would have been so upset. I think it was so hyped up that I just expected more.

It was incredible. We were there in September (free dining) and loved it. My filet was ridiculously tender, as were the rest of my party's steaks. And the sweet potato/mashed potato mash I had was very very tasty.

Plus the pretzel bread, and creme brulee are out of this world.

It's a must! We'll be going a couple times on our upcoming trip.

We just returned two weeks ago from our most recent trip to WDW and I was very disappointed this time in Le Cellier. I think Yachtsman Steakhouse had much better steaks (we ate there this time also) and the famed cheddar soup is just okay. Also, the place is crowded, noisy and not at all relaxing. We do not do any kind of dining plan (use DDE as annual passholders) but I didn't feel that the pricing here was any better or worse than the other places we eat while there. However, since this place is always fully booked and running behind in seating at ADR times, I'm obviously in the minority.

We absolutely loved Le Cellier. As a PP mentioned the chocolate cake is amazing...hands down the best cake I've ever had. I ate there the first time with my Fiance last year, it was our first meal at Disney. On our trip with friends that is quickly approaching (27 days), it will be our first meal again. It and Boma are the only TS restaurants that we are repeating

We also really liked it! The pretzel bread is great. We also really enjoyed the Creme Brulee. We were on the dining plan as well, so it was worth it. We will definately go again on our next trip. The portions were kinda small, but we went for a late lunch so it was perfect for us!

We have eaten there our past three trips and the food has been consistently good, although portion sizes are shrinking and prices are not. My rear end thinks that is good, but my wallet knows that sucks. If you are looking for GREAT service GREAT food in a very nice environment, may I suggest transferring your ADR, if possible to Artists Point? It may be a bit more $$ (and not in Epcot), but really is worth it for quality and quantity. We ate dinner at AP one night, then Le Cellier the next and AP blew it outta the water. Just a suggestion....like I said, Le Cellier is good and if you have an ADR there, you may as well keep it, but if you can, AP is so much better.

Honestly I thought it was a bit over hyped. The steak was good the cheese soup was good but nothing spectacular. I don't even remember the dessert.

We have enjoyed Le'Cellier 5 times in the past 3 years! Every time we have exceptional service and wonderful food. You can't beat it especially if you are on the DDP. Of course, if I was paying OOP it would be the only expensive dinner I would select.

Reviews are opinions, of course. We were there in October and were unimpressed. Much of this had to do with the server trying to rush us, which I imagine could happen anywhere. The amazing thing to me was how many empty tables there were, given how hard an ADR it is to get. Hope your experience is better than ours was.

My thoughts exactly! Except I would suggest Yachtsman which is a short walk over to BC through the gateway. Lovely walk and very much worth it.

We still go every trip but I'm waiting for the cheese soup to come in a thimble now. My mushroom risotto was undercooked in December but fine in January. Filet has gotton smaller but they were quicker to refill the pretzel bread, very necessary for dipping in the cheese soup.

We've eaten there the past 3 trips and last 2 were not good. The server was good and the apps were good but the steaks were not. In December, Dh and I both asked for medium. My steak came raw and dh's was burnt. We had much better filets at Brown Derby then Le Cellier. I really thought it was just our experience but I've read a couple of reviews on the restaurant review board that had the same issues. We're going to give it another chance in June so hopefully they will have grill and temperatures worked out by then.

BTW My DH ate a filet just about everywhere it is offered and has said Narcoosee's is the best. V&A's Kobe beef excluded.

My family really enjoyed it. I am not a big red meat person, but had the mushroom fillet and really liked it. My husband wants to eat there twice next time. Our server as not the best though.

I just ate at Le Cellier for lunch and was surprised at how great the prime rib sandwich was - I would do (almost) anything for one now! I was a little disappointed in the mussels though maybe it was a bad day for them. And the soup is always good.

DD at age 11 last year said the steak was her favorite steak ever! DH said very good but not enough food..I ordered some shrimp dish that was ok.too asian insired for my taste..I want to go back for the steak!
